IIT Gandhinagar MTech Admission 2020: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar has announced the list of shortlisted candidates on May 15 for MTech admissions. Applicants could register for interviews from May 17 onwards which will be conducted on May 20 to 25, 2020.

IIT Gandhinagar MTech admission application forms were released on March 17 and available till May 10 online. Admission to MTech courses offered at IIT Gandhinagar will be based on the candidate’s (IIT Graduates only) graduation score. For other candidates, the admission will be based on the will conduct a written test based on topics related to general aptitude, engineering mathematics, and basic courses in various disciplines.

Candidates must note that they have to register on the COAP portal along with filling the online application form at the institute’s website for IIT Gandhinagar MTech admission to see their seat allotment results. Candidates must fulfill all the eligibility conditions for IIT Gandhinagar MTech admission 2020 before filling the application form. IIT Gandhinagar released the application form for its MTech admissions on March 17 online and the last date for the same was May 10. Candidates who wished to apply for more than one discipline were required to fill separate application forms. Candidates also had to register through the COAP portal to be considered for admission.

• Visit the official website and click on the application form link.
• Select the programme a candidate wished to apply
• Fill in personal, academic and communication details and upload a recent passport size photograph in jpg/jpeg/png format.
• Pay the application fee online
• Submit their application form
• An application number link to download the form will be generated after successful submission
• Download the application form and take multiple print outs of it

The printout of application form will be required to be produced at the time of interview

IIT Gandhinagar MTech Admission 2020: Selection procedure

The selection process of IIT Gandhinagar MTech Admission 2020 was done on the basis of written test and interview. IIT Graduates with CGPA 8.0 or above on the scale of 10 were given direct admissions and they were not required to appear in the GATE 2020. Candidates will be invited for written test on the basis of their GATE scores.

Written Test

All the candidates who wish to get admission to any MTech programme in IIT Gandhinagar, have to appear for a written test and interview. The written test will be based on the following topics-

• General aptitude (logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, etc.)
• Engineering mathematics
• Basic courses in various disciplines up to the third year of an undergraduate programme

Candidates had to carry the following documents at the time of interview:

• Copy of filled application form
• Recent passport size color photograph
• Self-attested photocopies of the marksheet
• Degree certificates (if available)
• Self-attested copy of the caste certificate (for SC & ST candidates)
• Self-attested copy of the latest caste certificate (OBC and non-creamy layer certificate)
• Disability certificate, only applicable for persons with 40% disability
