JNU BTech Admission 2021

The School of Engineering is one of the youngest schools of JNU which was established in 2018. It offers BTech dual degree programme with two combinations of various specialisations. It is a five-year programme and its academic sessions generally commence from the month of July every year. Broadly, the programme consists of approximately six semesters of UG curriculum, followed by approximately two semesters of postgraduate curriculum and last two semesters of dissertation.

JNU BTech Admission 2021

JNU admission to BTech dual-degree programme is based on a candidate’s JEE Main rank, followed by JoSAA/ CSAB counselling. The candidate's rank should meet the cutoff list decided by the University. Candidates in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 are offered direct merit-based admissions to the course. The BTech dual-degree programme is offered in two specialisations as mentioned below:

CSE and MS/MTech in Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Science/ Technology

Class 12 with 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ST). Candidates in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 are also eligible to apply

ECE and MS/MTech in Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Science/ Technology

As per the JNU CSE cutoff 2026, EWS AI category candidates have to get a rank of at least 6340 in Round 5. Students with a rank lower than the one mentioned here have a better chance of admission.
