Life at BITS Pilani: No attendance pressure & lots of opportunities for all-round development

“Its brand value and reputation attracted me and that’s the reason I am here at BITS Pilani” says Parul Bhel in a candid chat with shiksha.com about life at the institute.

A first year student of the Integrated B.Tech-M.Tech dual degree programme at BITS Pilani, this Faridabad resident reveals that life at this institute is slightly different from what she expected it to be. “Considering the location of the institute, the joys and benefits that this place lacks in comparison to other metro cities and according to the reviews I read on social media, I thought my life would proceed in a boring way.  But, contrary to my thought, I love my college life and give it a rating of 10 out of 10,” she said.

She further reveals that the absence of any reservation system and no attendance pressure are amongst the best things that she likes about her institute. She feels that things one would love to boast about the campus include a beautiful temple located inside the institute and the scenic natural beauty of the place.
