Lovely Professional University offers a number of undergraduate four-year programmes in the field of Engineering, which include BTech, BTech (Hons) and Integrated BTech degrees in multiple major and minor specialisations. The University conducts a national-level entrance and scholarship test (LPUNEST) for BTech admission. Students studying in Class 12 can apply for LPUNEST (BTech). In addition to this, those having a valid score in JEE Main exam are also eligible to apply for BTech admission at LPU.

LPU BTech admissions for all the specialisations are open now. Admission to all the BTech programmes is based on a valid LPUNEST/ JEE Main score. LPU BTech admission 2021 is conducted through an online mode. The below-mentioned table represents the course-specific LPU eligibility criteria along with the semester fees for all BTech courses:

At the UG level, the University offers four-year BTech programme in over 25 major and minor specialisations under the stream of Engineering. LPU admissions to BTech programme are based on a valid LPUNEST/ JEE Main score. The final selection of students is based on the scores obtained in any of the accepted entrance exams. Below mentioned are the names of the specialisations along with the LPU eligibility criteria for the BTech programme:

Relaxation:
- 5% relaxation for North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants
- 10% relaxation for outstanding Sports Persons (A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), subject to verification from selection committee of the university
LPU BTech (LE) Admission 2021
LPU also offers lateral entry admission to BTech programme under several specialisations. The duration of BTech (LE) is three years, which is divided into six semesters. LPU admissions to BTec (LE) are based on valid LPUNEST/ JEE Main score. The final selection of students is based on the scores obtained in any of the accepted entrance exams. Apart from the regular BTech programme, LPU is also offering BTech (Hons) programmes in additional innovative honors electives and projects in the contemporary areas like Automation System, Micro-Satellite Module Design, IoT (Internet of things), Solar Energy, Space Science, etc. LPU admission 2021 to BTech (Hons) programme is based on LPUNEST/ JEE Main score. Apart from the above-mentioned programmes, the University also offers integrated and dual degree programmes under the stream of Engineering. The duration of integrated programmes is five years each, whereas dual degree programmes have a duration of six years each. The detailed eligibility criteria for the same is as follows:

LPU BTech Application Process 2021
LPU BTech admission to all the above-mentioned programmes is done through an online mode. Candidates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria, need to apply online through the admission portal of the University. The common LPU application process is shown below:

Step 1: Signup
- Register on the official admission portal of LPU i.e. LPUADMIT (admission.lpu.in) with basic details such as name, email-id, mobile number, state, gender and password). The email id used during registration will act as the username for the portal and password needs to be set by the candidate while registration.
- Login to the LPUADMIT with already created username/ password
Step 2: Application for admission
Candidates can continue to take admission and then apply for LPUNEST (for scholarship purpose):
- Fill in the application form
- Select the programme from the available course list
- Make an initial payment of Rs 10,000 (which consists of an application fee of Rs 500, rest is the part of the programme fee of the first semester). After making the payment, the University will dispatch the prospectus at the correspondence address (entered in the application form) and a unique provisional registration no. will be generated and sent to the registered email-id.
- Upload the required documents. All the submitted documents are verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines during admission.
- Deposit the balance fee within the timelines as prescribed by LPU
Step 3: Apply for LPUNEST
Lovely Professional University conducts an online eligibility/scholarship test, LPUNEST basis which students can avail a number of scholarships.
- Deposit the test fee: The cost for the application form and soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is Rs 800 (for boys) and Rs 500 (for girls) and fill the application form of LPUNEST.
Step 4: Book the exam slot and appear for it
- Candidates are now required to book a slot (with their preference of date and time) to appear for LPUNEST
- Appear and qualify the test
