Now, I have reached a stage from where I can give you some direction based on my experience and the career option that I chose.

After class 12th, giving common entrance exams has become a trend now. Most of the institutes are also taking their own entrance exams to give admissions to students. I didn’t give any entrance exam as I got admission in BTech at Lovely Professional University through my board exam marks, and I got a scholarship of 80,000 per year too.

After class 12th, I decided to join Mechanical Engineering as I was good with designs and engineering drawing. So, this is the main thing. You should choose that stream in which you are interested or that in which you are good. If you are good in computers and coding, then CSE or ENTC are the best options for you. You can pursue robotics if you are good in coding and imagination. If you are good in sports, then sports management and physical education are the best options for you.

Let’s return to my story. In class 10th, I got 94.9% which was a high score in my school. As per trend, I took Science stream. While pursuing my class 12th, I developed an interest in sports. My score was 85% in class 12th. I requested my brother and my parents to let me join BSc in Pune, so I could move forward in cricket as my main sport. But because of the trend and pressure, I took admission in LPU in the Mechanical Engineering. I passed all engineering subjects in all semesters in the first attempt. Along with studying, I was playing cricket at the college level. The sport helped me understand teamwork, and my physical health and mental health also were in a pretty good shape. In the final year, I got placed in a core mechanical company based in Bangalore.

Now, I have completed 2 years in the same company and recently, I got promoted to the position of a product development engineer. But still, I am playing cricket at league and corporate levels, which is helping me be relieved of pressure and keep myself fit. People know me as a cricketer rather than a product development engineer in my company. Still, I am thinking of that day when I took admission in engineering. If I got one chance to change one day from the past, I would change that decision. I can definitely say that I am not in the correct field, as I took up engineering as a career option because of family pressure and because of which, each and every day, I am not able to enjoy my work.

The main message of this article is that you should follow the path which you want to follow. If you follow that with dedication, then you will be always successful, no matter what the condition is. Don’t make the same mistake which I made. Be daring and follow your dreams.

Placements at LPU are actually pretty decent if you’re serious about your skills. The university gives a lot of opportunities through campus drives, training programs, and internships, especially in fields like CSE, management, and pharmacy.

Big companies do visit the campus, and you’ll see a wide ra

At Lovely Professional University, you can take admission in BTech CSE through their own test called LPUNEST or based on your 12th marks.

JEE is not compulsory, but if you have a good JEE score, it can help you get admission and scholarship.

For B.Sc. Agriculture at LPU, the basic requirement is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and the usual eligibility is around 60% in aggregate. With 58%, you are very close to the requirement, so eligibility can depend on the current admission cycle and official university criteria, which ma
