Know how Ayush Agarwal prepared for JEE and got into MNNIT, Allahabad. Get details on Shiksha.

JEE is not difficult. Though everyone has the capability to crack the exam but only a few can actually clear it. Do you know why? Cracking JEE is all about handling the enormous pressure that you will feel on you every single time. There will be times when you will feel like giving up but that’s when you have to be composed.

First it’s about attempting the easy questions and then targeting the tricky ones. It’s the easy questions that give you score and the tricky ones that give you the difference in your rank. I studied with full concentration but that doesn't mean I stopped playing or enjoying during that time. You just have to keep things in proportion. Refreshing yourself is important too. Try to give 5 to 6 hours daily to studies.

Unfortunately I didn't do well in JEE Advanced but the experience was fun. The exam was a tad bit difficult than JEE Mains but you surely can do good. All you have to do is just study with full concentration and do not take undue pressure on yourself. Study till the time you can. Remember, even if you don’t succeed, it will not be the end of the world.

Coming to the college part. Select your college and fill the preference list according to the previous year cut offs of the respective colleges. Know where your interests are and what things excite you and select that particular branch.

You will have ample opportunities in your college for studies or for extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities are equally important as studies are. Colleges are meant not only for the growth of your knowledge but also for your development as a person on the whole.

When it comes to the study part, it’s all about self-studies to be honest. I would like to tell everyone reading this that take things lightly and do not pressurize yourself.
