UPSEE Merit List 2020
AKTU will prepare a separate merit list based on the UPSEE result 2020 for BTech aspirants. Candidates’ scores in the entrance exam will be taken into while preparing the UPSEE 2020 merit list. Candidates listed out in the merit list will only be allowed to participate in the UPSEE 2020 counselling procedure.
Tie-Breaking Procedure of UPSEE 2020
After the calculation of marks for a candidate, there may be a situation where any two or more candidates have secured the same marks in UPSEE 2020. The exam conducting authority will resolve it by following the below-mentioned guidelines in a similar order:
- Candidate with lesser number of incorrect answers will be ranked higher
- If the tie is not resolved, the candidate with more marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry section of Paper-1 will be allotted a higher rank.
- If the tie remains, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.
- If the candidates are of the same age, then the rank will be allotted based on the application number. The lowest application number will be ranked higher in the merit list.
