No, the BTech admissions at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology are entrance based. All candidates who wish to apply for BTech courses offered by the institute must appear for the SAEEE.

The SAEEE is conducted by Sathyabama University every year between the months of November and June for Engineering course admissions.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, or equivalent with a minimum of 45% aggregate. In addition to this, students need to appear for TNEA counselling or the Single Window Admissions System. Single Window Admissions System is used in Anna University for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission).
