It appears that IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology has a better placement record than Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering. Here are some key points to consider:

• All students who have a CGPA above 7.5 are placed at IIST, and the salary package offered is 8 LPA.

• On the other hand, Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering has very few companies visiting for placements, and placements are provided only in ISRO for students who get a 7.5 CGPA. Even then, only the top students are selected if there are more students with a 7.5 CGPA than available vacancies.

Therefore, based on the available information, it can be concluded that IIST offers better placements than Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering.

Modal engeneering college M.Tech and specialisations. The candidate can apply for this college by appearing in Graduate aptitude test in engeneering ( GATE ) examination and also he must have to secure minimum of 50% in 10^th and +2 examinations and also 6.5 CGPA in the previous B.Tech or degree cours they pursued.

The GATE entrance examination application starts in the month of August and it lasts for 2 months. The admit card will be released in the month of January and the examination will be in February.

 

Amrita School of Engineering:

Strengths:

• Reputation: Amrita School of Engineering boasts a strong national and international reputation,  particularly in certain specialised fields like computer Science and electronics.
• Placements: Amrita generally has a good track record for placements,  with a consistent record of placing a high percentage of graduates.

Weaknesses:

• Fees: Amrita can be on the more expensive side compared to some other institutions.
• Strictness: Amrita is known for its strict academic culture and stringent rules,  which might not be for everyone.
• Location: Depending on your preferences,  the location of Amrita's campuses (primarily in Coimbatore and Kerala) might not be ideal for everyone.

TKM Institute of Management:

Strengths:

• Fees: TKM Institute of Management is generally more affordable than Amrita.
• Industry connect: TKM has strong ties with industries,  potentially leading to better internship and job opportunities.
