The best private college. Good placements and the teachers are so helpful.
Placements: Placements are good this year. Also, if you maintain discipline and follow their instructions, we can get good placements. They also guide students who want to do higher studies or start a startup. They are too concerned about their students, the best college indeed.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so much fancy. The food quality of the hostel and canteen is very good. There are also good medical facilities available in the college sports zone, like a basketball court, which is also there. They organize sports tournaments, also interschool.
Faculty: Faculty are very concerned about their students. All faculty members are very helpful. Faculty inspires the students to work on projects to encourage them. Faculty are too updated, they are so friendly and helpful.
Other: Unique fests are held there, like photography, gaming, cultural, and all types. They organize fest, hackathon.

Average life of an engineer at IEM.
Placements: Approximately 90% were placed from the ECE department this year. The highest package is 18 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA - 8 LPA. The lowest package is 3.75 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, and Capgemini. Top roles offered are electronics design, embedded systems, VLSI design, telecom network engineering, and wireless communication.
Infrastructure: The college has well-organized labs with Wi-Fi. Libraries are available all the time for the students to study. The college provides opportunities for students to participate in different sports fields. There are also good medical facilities available for all students and staff.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are always helpful. It makes the students industry-ready as the college performs different industry visits throughout the year. The lab experiments and other knowledge gained from the curriculum help them to be industry-ready.

Review of Institute of Engineering and Management College.
Placements: The placement records of IEM were good. More than 95% of students were placed. TCS, Accenture, IBM, PwC, and Capgemini were the companies that hired the most. The highest package was offered by Oracle at 22 LPA. Some startups also hired from IEM, such as Tismo Ltd, Jman, Keyence, etc.
Infrastructure: In the college campus, Wi-Fi facility was available, but the problem was that you can only connect to one Wi-Fi network. For example, if you connected to the Wi-Fi on the first floor and then went to the third floor, you can not connect to the Wi-Fi there because you were already connected to the first-floor Wi-Fi. Classrooms and labs were okay, neither very good nor very bad. There was a library that was open 24/7, but in college hours, you can't go and use the library, as they will think you were bunking classes.
Faculty: Most of teachers were helpful. They helped you pass the exams, and that's all. The teaching quality was not up to the mark. Most of the time, you needed to watch YouTube lectures after the class. The course structure was good. Even in the ECE curriculum, they added CS subjects like DBMS and OS, which helped with placements. The semester exams were not that difficult even if you studied two days before the exam, you can easily pass.
Other: To be honest, I didn't like the campus life and didn't participate in any extracurricular activities. I solely joined the course because of the placement records, and I got placed in 4 companies, so in that way, it was value for money to me.

Decent infrastructure with strong labs and library, but room needs improvement.
Placements: Placement rates are decent this year. Average salary package went up to 8 LPA, and Oracle offered highest salary placement of 22 LPA. Several other companies took part in this year's campus placements. Top roles offered are IT roles. Almost every student who had taken UPAT and at least 2 worthy internships, got placed this year.
Infrastructure: IEM offers decent infrastructure overall. Labs are well-equipped and comfortable, though classrooms could be better maintained. Library stands out with its wide book selection and flexible hours. Basic amenities like internet, drinking water, and washrooms are functional. Canteen serves good quality food at reasonable prices, adding to student convenience. While not perfect, campus supports academic life effectively.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. There are some who speak very monotonously, but overall, education quality is really good. Course curriculum is very relevant to latest topics like circuit designing and coding languages, making students absolutely industry-ready.

The highest campus offer is 15.5 LPA. In 2021, followed by a 32 LPA offer.
Placements: Around 200 people are placed in my stream. The highest package is 18 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro. A minimum of 90% of students get internships from my course and companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro. The roles offered by my course are in this stream, and I would like to go to both field jobs and IT jobs.
Infrastructure: IEM Kolkata offers separate, secured hostels for both boys and girls within the campus. Facilities include 24/7 security, a hygienic mess, free Wi-Fi, and access to sports and recreation areas. IEM provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Accommodation is primarily on a twin-sharing basis. The hostels can accommodate over 200 boys and 150 girls. Hostels are located within the campus.
Faculty: Engineering and Management Focus, IEM Kolkata provide a programs in engineering-related areas and management, adhering to MAKAUT guidelines. The course curriculum is designed to be relevant to the specific field of study. The pass percentage is 100.

Your board result is not going to help you anyway. But you also have a nice performance in WBJEE. With this rank, you will get IEM ECE. Also, I will suggest you to go for only ECE, IT or CSE branch as core branches are in bad conditions. You can also go for Heritage. See, the choice is yours as bo
