IBPS Clerk Exam Date 2025 (Revised): Check Exam Timing, Schedule & Duration

The public sector banks in India offer lucrative salaries to Clerical cadre posts along with various perks, incentives and benefits. Therefore, the in-hand salary of an IBPS Clerk may range between INR 28,000 to 30,000 per month. The following allowances are offered to IBPS Clerk: Dearness Allowance: This component is 4 per cent of the Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised after every three months. House Rent Allowance: The HRA is dependent on the location of the posting. It is 8.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for cities having a population of more than 5 Lacs, and 6.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for other cities. Travel Allowance: The official tours and travels will be reimbursed by the bank. Medical Allowance: For IBPS Clerks, the amount is fixed at INR 2000. Medical allowance is provided once in a year. Special Allowance: For IBPS Clerk this amount is fixed at INR 4118.

The Mains exam of is divided into four sections. The total marks allotted to the exam are 200. The marks obtained at stage is considered for final selection.

Yes, there are sectional timings in IBPS Clerk exam. In prelims exam, candidates will get 20 minutes to answer each section. In the Mains exam, 35 minutes each will be given to answer questions from General/Financial Awareness, General English and 45 minutes each will be given to attempt Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and Quantitative Aptitude questions. Candidates between 20 and 28 years are eligible for the exam Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rule. There are no restrictions in the number of attempts in IBPS Clerk exam. Candidates can apply for the exam within their prescribed age limit. Candidates must check the age limit before applying to the exam. The relaxation in the upper age limit given to the candidates belonging to the reserved category is given below.

The educational qualification for IBPS Clerk is Graduation. Final year candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must have an operating and working knowledge of computers. 

The prelims exam is to be held on October 4, 5. The Mains exam is conducted on November 29.

The short notification was released on July 29. The detailed notification was released on July 31. The notification was released to select candidates for the post of Clerks in 11 participating banks. 

Final-year students cannot apply for the IBPS Clerk Exam. Candidates need to have graduation mark sheet on the date of application. As per the notification, the minimum qualification require candidates to have a graduation degree or equivalent from a recognised university. Candidates between 20 and 28 Years can apply for the IBPS Clerk post.
