IBPS Clerk Exam Centres 2026: The exam conducting authority allot the IBPS Clerk exam centre across the several cities of the country to ensure the smooth conduct of an exam. During the completion of the IBPS Clerk application form, candidates need to fill their preferred exam centres. The authority will allot the exam centre to the candidates according to the availability. 
In the IBPS Clerk admit card exam time of the venue, reporting time and instructions will be provided. Also, once the centre of an exam is allotted, it cannot be changed. IBPS Clerk prelims exam is conducted in around 200 cities. IBPS Clerk mains exam is conducted in around 80 cities. While filling out the IBPS Clerk application form, candidates can select their preferred exam centres. The authority assign them as per their administrative feasibility for Prelims and Mains exam separately. Once the exam centre allotted will not be changed. IBPS Clerk admit card is released one week before the exam The details related to the exam centre are mentioned in the admit card. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post.

The admit card consists of all the details including the name of a candidate, roll number, exam centre, etc. It is crucial for a candidate to bring the hall ticket of IBPS Clerk to the examination centre with anyone of the valid and original photo ID proofs like PAN, Aadhar, or Voter ID. It will be released separately for prelims and mains exams.  The process to check the admit card is provided below.

IBPS Clerk exam day guidelines are given below.

  • Candidates coming late for the exam will not be allowed
  • Along with the admit card, candidates must bring one original photo-identity proof
  • Bring a ballpoint pen and ink stamp pad for affixing a thumb impression on the admit card
  • Electronic items are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Candidates must bring one additional photograph to the exam centre
  • Rough sheets will be kept at the desk of each candidate

Q:   Will I be provided rough sheets inside IBPS Clerk exam hall?
A: 
Rough sheets will be provided for rough work or taking down the question in IBPS Clerk exam. After the test is over, candidates should handover the rough sheets to the invigilator. Drop boxes are provided outside the exam hall where candidates need to drop their rough sheets. Candidates are also required to write roll number on the rough sheets.

Q:   Do I need to carry IBPS Clerk prelims admit card for the Mains exam?
A: 
Candidates should keep the authenticated IBPS Clerk prelims admit card and the photo-identity safely as they need to carry it while appearing for the Mains exam. The prelims admit card and the photo-identity proof is not collected at the exam centre during exam. Candidates who does not carry the prelims admit card are not allowed to appear for the Mains exam.
Q:   What is IBPS Clerk exam pattern?
A: 

IBPS Clerk exam pattern two parts-prelims and mains. The prelims test comprises three sections and carries 100 marks. The Mains comprises four sections and carries 200 marks. 

 

 

Q:   Are there any sectional timings in the IBPS Clerk exam?
A: 

Yes, there are sectional timings in IBPS Clerk exam. In prelims exam, candidates will get 20 minutes to answer each section. In the Mains exam, 35 minutes each will be given to answer questions from General/Financial Awareness, General English and 45 minutes each will be given to attempt Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude and Quantitative Aptitude questions. Q:   What is IBPS Clerk Syllabus?

IBPS Clerk syllabus is divided into prelims and Mains exams. The syllabus for the prelims exam comprises questions from English, Numerical Ability & Reasoning. IBPS Clerk Mains syllabus carries chapters from Maths English Language Reasoning Ability Computer Aptitude & General Awareness.

Q:   What are the factors that are considered while allotting IBPS Clerk exam centres to candidates?
A: 

The list of IBPS Clerk exam centres is released along with the notification. Candidates need to select their preferred exam centres while filling the application form. One exam centre each can be selected for the prelims and Mains exams. IBPS Clerk exam centres are allotted to candidates based on their preferences. In case of unavailability of the preferred centre, candidates are allotted to the next available centre. IBPS reserves the right to allot exam centres to candidates. They should select the exam centres carefully as it cannot be changed after final submission of application form.

Q:   What photo-identity proof should I carry to IBPS Clerk exam centre?
A: 
Candidates must carry any one of the photo-identity proof-Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License, etc. To the IBPS Clerk exam centre along with the admit card. The photo-identity proof will be verified by the exam centre officials. Along with the original photo-identity proof, candidates should also take the xerox copy of it.
Q:   Will I be provided travelling allowances to reach IBPS Clerk exam centre?
A: 

Candidates will not be provided any allowances to reach IBPS Clerk exam cetre. They need to manage to reach to the exam centre of their own.  IBPS Clerk prelims exam is conducted in around 200 cities. IBPS Clerk Mains exam is conducted in around 80 cities. Candidates are allotted test cities as per their preferences. Once the test cities are allotted it cannot be changed.

Q:   What is the process of candidate registration inside IBPS Clerk exam centre?
A: 
Candidate registration inside IBPS Clerk exam centre is done through photo capture. The photo captured should match the one uploaded during filling the application form. Candidates must not change their appearance from the photo uploaded by them. Photograph is taken while candidate is standing. Seat numbers are given to candidates after registration.
Q:   Can I carry ration card and learner's driving lincense as photo-identity proof to IBPS Clerk exam centre?
A: 
Ration Card and Learner's Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof for IBPS Clerk exam. Candidates should note that their name appearing on the call letter should exactly match the name as appearing on the photo identift proof. If there is any mismatch between the name indicated in the call letter and photo identity proof are not allowed to appear for the exam. In case of candidates who have changed their name are allowed only if they produce Gazette notification/their marriage certificate/affidavit. Photo ID should be valid as on the day of the examination.
Q:   What is the password required to download the IBPS Clerk admit card?
A: 

IBPS Clerk admit card is released online separately for prelims and Mains exams. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The admit card should be carried with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre.

Q:   My IBPS Clerk admit card is not issued. What should I do?
A: 
If your IBPS Clerk admit card is not issued, you need to contact the examination authority. For evidence, provide your registration number and copy of the fee transaction receipt. If the admit card is lost then the examination authority does not issue duplicate IBPS Clerk admit card. Hence, it is the responsibility of candidates to keep the admit card safely till the completion of the exam.
