The Board of Secondary Odisha, in its official notification of OSSTET 2023, announced the syllabus for OSSTET 2023 exam. The syllabus for OSSTET has all the details of the topics from which questions on each paper will be set. OSSTET consists of two papers, i.e. Paper I and Paper-II. - OSSTET exam is conducted for secondary teacher recruitment, therefore the level of the papers are of graduation level
- There are two papers, paper I and paper II, paper I is for education teachers of different subjects and paper II is for physical education teacher
- Apart from language paper questions are asked in the English language. Apart from the language papers, questions are asked in the English language. Questions are asked in the format of multiple-choice (MCQ) questions. One mark is awarded for a correct answer and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

OSSTET Exam Pattern 2023
The OSSTET Exam Pattern 2023 is an imperative part of exam preparation. Candidates should be familiar with the latest exam pattern or structure to know how the OSSTET question paper is framed. The pattern highlights the marking scheme of the exam along with the number of questions, name of subjects and exam duration. The OSSTET exam carries 150 marks for each paper. A total of 150 MCQs are asked in the exam from the following sections:
- Language I – 20 MCQs
- Language II – 20 MCQs
- Subject-Specific Section – 60 MCQs
- Child Development, Pedagogy, School Management & Evaluation – 50 MCQs
There is no negative marking for the OSSTET exam. Candidates are given two hours and thirty minutes to attempt the paper.
