SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025

The SSC CHSL exam pattern 2025 differs for Tier 1 and Tier 2. Have a look at the details below:

  • Tier 1 is an objective exam that contains 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 200 marks. The exam is conducted in online mode. Candidates need to complete the paper in a duration of one hour.
  • Tier 2 is conducted in two sessions - Session I & Session II, on the same day. Session I includes:
    • Section-I
    • Section-II
    • Module-I of Section-III.

Session II includes Module II of Section III. 

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 consists of objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs), except for Module II of Section III. The questions are set in English and Hindi languages except for Module II (i.e. English Language and Comprehension module) in Section II. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section II and Module-I of Section III.
