SSC CHSL 2025 exam date has been announced. The Commission will soon release the SSC CHSL city slip 2025 for Tier 1 exam, which will begin on November 12, 2025. SSC CHSL Exam 2025

The Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC CHSL 2025 exam date for the Tier 1 exam. The Commission will conduct the Tier 1 exam from November 12, 2025. The Commission has activated the self-slot selection window for candidates who registered for the exam. Candidates need to choose the exam city, date and shift under the SSC CHSL slot selection 2025 facility. The direct slot booking link is shared here. The CHSL (10+2) notification and application form were released on June 23, 2025. Candidates got around one month to fill out the SSC CHSL application form. The last date to apply online for the SSC CHSL exam was July 18, 2025. Candidates needed to register for the exam and complete the SSC OTR Registration to apply online.

The SSC CHSL exam city intimation slip will be released around 10 days before the exam, and the admit card around 2 days before the exam. The Commission has released the tentative SSC CHSL vacancy 2025 list post and category-wise on its official website. The SSC CHSL (10+2) exam seeks to fill a total of 3131 vacancies for the posts of LDC/ JSA and DEO.

Q:   When will SSC CHSL 2025 exam be conducted?

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CHSL exam dates in official notification. The candidates should note that the SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 1 exam will be held from September 8 to 18, 2025 as per the notification PDF. The exact exam date will be notified to candidates on their admit cards.

The SSC CHSL 2025 Tier 2 dates will be announced later.

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CHSL Tier 1 application form on June 23, 2025. The Commission released the SSC CHSL 2025 notification on the same date. The last date to apply online for the SSC CHSL 2025 was July 18, 2025. The Commission will conduct the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam 2025 from September 8 to 18, 2025.

Q:   How many questions are asked in SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam?
A:
In Tier 1 of the SSC CHSL exam, a total of 100 questions are asked. As per the official notification, the SSC CHSL Tier 1 is divided into four sections- English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. Each section contains 25 MCQs of 2 marks each. Therefore, each section is of 50 marks.

The SSC CHSL exam city slip 2025 will be released after the slot selection window closes. Candidates need to select the exam city, date and shift during the facility as shared here:

Q:   Is there negative marking SSC CHSL exam?
A:

Yes, there is a negative marking in the SSC CHSL exam for wrong answers. In SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam, there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answers. In SSC CHSL Tier 2, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section II and Modules-I of Section III. Candidates are, therefore, advise to mark their answers with high accuracy in the SSC CHSL examination.

Q:   What is the exam pattern of SSC CHSL?
A:

The exam pattern of the SSC CHSL includes structure of Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Tier 1 exam includes a total of 100 questions of 2 marks each from four sections - General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The Tier 2 includes Session I and Session II. The Tier 2 Session I includes Section I, Section II and Modules I of Section III and Session II includes Modules II of Section III. Tier 2 comprises 135 questions carrying the weightage of 3 marks each.

Q:   Has the exam pattern for the SSC CHSL 2025 been changed?
A:

No, the SSC CHSL 2025 exam pattern has not been changed. Earlier, the Commission changed the exam pattern for the SSC CHSL exam in 2022 to expedite the recruitment process. SSC CHSL exam is now be conducted in two tiers as mentioned below: Tier 1 and Tier 2. The Tier 1 Examination consists of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions are set in English and Hindi. There is negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Examination is conducted in two sessions - Session I and Session II, on same day. Session-I will include conducting of Section-I, Section-II and Module I of Section III. Session II will include conducting of Module-II of Section III. Also, it is mandatory for the candidates to qualify all the sections of Tier 2. The Tier 2 consists of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module-II of Section III. The questions are set in English and Hindi except for Module II (I. e. English Language and Comprehension module) in Section II. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section I, Section II and Module I of Section III of the Tier 2 exam.

The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC CHSL 2025 admit card through its official regional websites. The candidates should note that the Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC CHSL 2025 City Intimation Slip notice on the central website, and the Commission will inform that the SSC CHSL admit card will follow soon.

The Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) notification was released on its official website on June 23, 2025. SSC CHSL 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications Required for SSC CHSL 2025

The candidates can see below the educational qualifications required to apply online for the SSC CHSL 2025 exam.

A candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board or university. Candidates appearing in the Class 12 exam are also eligible to apply.

SSC CHSL 2025 Age Limit

The age criteria in the SSC CHSL 2025 exam will be the most important aspect of the SSC CHSL eligibility criteria. The candidates should note that the Staff Selection Commission has changed the SSC CHSL 2025 age cutoff date to August 1, 2025, for this year’s exam. The age of the candidates will be calculated from August 1 of the exam year. 

A candidate must be between 18 and 27 years of age to apply for the exam. Candidates born not before August 2, 1997, and not later than August 1, 2006, are eligible to apply for the exam.

The Commission can change the age criteria in the official notification.

SSC CHSL 2025 Application Form

The candidates should note that the Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CHSL 2025 application online link with the release of the official notification. The candidates are required to fill out the SSC CHSL 2025 online applications on the official website – ssc.gov.in with the help of SSC One-Time Registration (OTR) credentials
The new candidates must register on the official website of the Commission to fill out the SSC application form.   2. Camera should be at eye level.
