The Commission conducted the SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam 2022 from March 9–21, 2023. Here are some of the major or important highlights that are provided so that you will get an idea about the previous year's exam papers and the overall difficulty level of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam.
- It has been noticed that the General Science section holds the most weightage in the General Awareness section. In general science, questions are mainly asked about Biology, Physics, Chemistry, environmental science, etc.
- The mathematics section demands a lot of effort and time from the candidates, so we can say that its difficulty level was moderate.
- Around 6 to 7 questions are generally asked from static gk, including topics like Indian Politics, History, Culture, Economy, Geography, etc.
- In the recent exams, an increase in the number of current affairs questions was seen in SSC exams. So, focus on current affairs and prepare accordingly.

SSC CHSL Tier-I 2021 English Language Analysis
Most of the candidates shared that the English section was comparatively easy. The questions were based on the syllabus mentioned in the official notification. The questions that appeared in the paper were from synonyms, antonyms, idioms and phrases, spot the error, comprehension, incorrect spelling, and sentence correction. The grammar section was overwhelmingly present in the paper.

SSC CHSL Tier-I 2021 Quantitative Aptitude Analysis
The speed and accuracy of the candidates are the keys to solving the quantitative aptitude section. This section was calculation intensive and hence it was time-consuming. The questions from average were asked in almost all sets. Some of the sets contain the questions from trigonometry, ratio and proportion, Compound and Simple Interest, series and the like.
SSC CHSL Tier-I 2021 General Awareness Analysis
The general awareness section has two parts. The first one is static General Knowledge and second is the current affairs. This section is crucial for the selection because, in the rest of the sections, the candidate's score is based on practice but this section requires learning and recalling facts. The candidates told us that there were a good number of questions about current affairs, history and art and culture and important festivals in India. some questions were asked about the dance forms and associated dancers. In some sets, there were a good number of questions from General Science.

The candidates told us that the General Intelligence questions were easy. Most of the questions in the reasoning section were taken from the mathematical operations.

Most of the candidates predicted that the expected cut off of the SSC CHSL Exam 2020 will be higher than the previous year. Most of the candidates find the paper easy to solve but the Quantitative Section was time-consuming.

SSC CHSL 2020 Tier-I (April 12) Video
The SSC CHSL 2020 exam was moderate to difficult in the difficulty level. Some candidates found the paper easy to solve but time management was a big issue and they were unable to attempt the full question paper. The candidates said that the questions were easy and very basic in orientation. There were a good number of questions from the Indian Polity section. There were two-three questions from the current affairs. SSC CHSL 2020 exam also asked the location and details about the temples in India. The English questions were easy. Similar words, synonyms, antonyms and likes were asked.
The candidates find the reasoning questions easy to moderate. The toughest among them all was the Quantitative Aptitude section. Questions from average, simple and compound interest, ratio and proportion, algebra and others were asked.

Most of the candidates expect the higher cut off for the SSC CHSL 2020 exam but this is the initial stage and we cannot predict the cutoff based on the exam of one shift only.
SSC CHSL Tier-II Essay Topic (2019)
The SSC asked the "Freedom of Speech: Constitutional provisions and Public debate" in the CHSL Tier-II exam. The word limit for the essay was 250 words. The SSC CHSL tier 2 essay was on the expected lines and most of the candidates found it easy to write. The candidates were required to write the Constitutional provisions and the common perception of the Freedom of speech in society. The candidates can quote the various Supreme Court decisions, related to the Freedom of Speech, pronounced in the recent past.
SSC CHSL Tier-II Letter Topic (2019)
The SSC asked for the formal letter in the CHSL Tier 2 exam 2019. The SSC provided the name and addresses of the sender and the receiver to avoid any UFM issues. In the previous year, the SSC issued a notice of UFM to various candidates because of the name and addresses mentioned in the exam. The candidates were asked to write a letter to the SDM of Bastar district to redress the difficulties faced by the Tribal Communities in the areas.
The SSC CHSL Tier-II paper was easy and most of the candidates were comfortable in writing the essay and letter. The majority of candidates will qualify for the Tier III.
SSC CHSL Tier-I Exam Analysis 2019
The difficulty level of the SSC CHSL 2019 exam held in three shifts on October 15 was similar to previous days - easy to moderate. As per a majority of candidates, the English section was the easiest of all. The reasoning section was easy but a bit lengthy. The difficulty level of the Quantitative Aptitude section was easy to moderate. Only a few current affairs questions were asked in the General Awareness section.
