SSC CHSL Cutoff 2025: Category-wise Cut Off Marks

Candidates are required to achieve minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the next stage of the SSC CHSL exam. SSC CHSL cutoff is fixed based on different parameters, including the number of vacancies, the number of candidates applying for the exam and the difficulty level of the paper. The number of candidates who appear in the SSC CHSL 2025 exam is always greater than the number of vacancies; hence, considering it as a component of the cutoff will be a flawed inclusion. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the CHSL cutoff on its official website along with the results. SSC CHSL cutoffs are the minimum marks that candidates should score to qualify for the next level of the exam. Candidates can download the SSC CHSL cut-off PDF here when released. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 cutoff PDF contains the post-wise cut-off marks along with the number of candidates selected against each category. The CHSL cut-off is calculated at the following stages:

• Firstly, the CHSL cutoff for the Tier 1 exam is decided based on the marks scored by candidates in the paper.
• In the SSC CHSL Tier 2 paper, candidates need to score a minimum of 33 per cent marks to qualify and get selected for the Tier 3 exam.
• SSC releases the SSC CHSL cutoff for each post separately. Under each post, the SSC CHSL category-wise cut-off is released.

Factors Determining SSC CHSL 2025 Cutoff

A lot of factors are considered by the Commission at the time of calculation of the SSC CHSL cutoff for different tiers. Some such factors are mentioned below:

• The difficulty level of the exam
• Number of vacancies available
• The number of candidates who appeared for the exam
• The normalisation of candidates' scores

There is a large number of candidates where the final marks are equal, and there is a tie among the candidates for the single SSC CHSL post. The DEST/Typing Test of the qualified candidates was held on January 6, 2023. The official notification reads, "based on the cut-off fixed by the Commission in the Skill Test (DEST/Typing Test) of the Examination, a total of 14873 candidates qualified Typing Test (List-I), 220 candidates qualified DEST (CAG) (List-II) and 1067 candidates qualified DEST (Other than CAG) (List-III) (provisionally) to appear in Document Verification. 

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Cut off 2021

SSC CHSL 2021 Cutoff for the Tier 2 exam was released with the result pdf on December 16, 2022. The Commission has released the category-wise and post-wise cut-off. SSC CHSL Cutoff are the marks of the last selected candidate in the particular category. The candidate has to score minimum cut-off marks to get qualified for the next round of the selection process.
