SSC JE Answer Key 2025 OUT: The Commission released the SSC JE 2025 Tier 1 answer key at ssc.gov.in. It was released as a PDF and aspirants can check through the candidates' login. Candidates can challenge the tentative answer key from  December 19 to December 22, 2025 (6 PM). The answer key is the authentic source for the answers to the questions asked in the exam. The answer key of SSC JE exam consists of the correct options for the questions. It also benefits the candidates in calculating their probable scores. The answer key challenge fee is INR 50 per question or answer challenged. 
Also, the tentative answer key or response sheet will not be available after the above mentioned dates. That is representations received after 6 PM on December 22 will not be entertained under any circumstances as per the official notice.

How to Challenge SSC JE Answer Key?

In case, a candidate is not satisfied with the answer or question given in the exam, s/he can challenge it in the prescribed format on the official website. However, for each challenged question/answer, candidates have to pay IINR 100 in online mode. Methods to challenge the SSC JE answer key are given below:

  • Visit at ssc.gov.in
  • Log in with credentials including registration number and password.
  • Click on the link as given “Click to Raise Objections to Tentative SSC JE Answer key”.
  • Log in using SSC User ID and Password
  • Choose the question number and the correct option

Q:   In which mode is the SSC JE exam conducted?

SSC JE exam is conducted in two modes- i) Computer Based Test and ii) Conventional. The details have been given below:
 
Computer Based Test (CBT)
 
The JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 
 
Conventional Paper-Pen Mode
 
Paper 2 (Conventional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen and paper method. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. Also, it  depends upon the specific job profile.
 
To conclude, Paper I is conducted in online way whereas Paper II can be either in CBT or conventional paper-pen depending upon the specific post/subject.
Q:   Is it mandatory to appear for both the papers of SSC JE exam?

Yes, it is mandatory to appear for both paper 1 and 2 of SSC JE exam. Both the papers are compulsory as the Paper 1 is conducted to shortlist the candidates for mains exam and is qualifying in nature. On the other hand, the paper 2 (mains) exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the  Document verification.
 
The final cut off released on the basis of the marks obtained in the paper 2 exam and the document verification. The candidates securing the marks equal to or more than the cut off marks is considered qualified for the exam and gets recruited as per the preferences made by the candidates.

Once the Staff Selection Commission receives all the challenges/objections, it evaluates them thoroughly. Thereafter, the commission releases the final SSC JE answer key on its official website. No, the result for the Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer (SSC JE) varies as per the categories (UR/SC/ST/EXS/PwD/EWS) of the candidates. The Commission prepares the separate list for each category and the result is based on the cut off prepared for that category. The candidates are selected from their category list according to their performance, as the Commissions distributes the number of vacancies according to the categories.
