UTET exam pattern 2024 is prescribed by the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE). UTET 2024 exam comprises two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. The UTET exam pattern differs for both papers. As per the UTET exam pattern and structure, the exam is held offline in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates are given two hours and thirty minutes to attempt the paper comprising 150 MCQs of one mark each. Candidates should be fully aware of the latest exam pattern to know the structure of the UTET question paper 2024. 

For the ease of candidates, the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2024 exam pattern is shared below in detail for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The main objective of the UTET exam is to access eligible candidates for teaching posts in different government and private schools of Uttarakhand. For this purpose, the UBSE conducts the written exam. Candidates who qualify for the exam are given a UTET certificate as a testimony of their credibility.

Note: Candidates need to select Language I and Language II while applying. Candidates will not be able to change their choice of language after the submission of the application. In Language II, candidates can choose any of the given languages – Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Urdu. Also, you cannot choose the same language for the Language I and Language II sections.

UTET Paper 2 comprises four sections with a choice in the fourth one - Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II and Mathematics & Science or Social Studies/Social Science.

The UTET exam is conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper based test. Candidates need to mark their answers on the OMR sheet.

UTET 2025 exam comprises 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in each paper. Each correct answer is awarded one mark. There is no negative marking in the UTET examination.

The UTET exam duration is two hours and 30 minutes for both the papers, that is, Paper 1 and 2. Each paper consists of 150 MCQs, or objective-type questions. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unanswered answers.

You need to carry your UTET admit card to the exam centre along with photo ID proof and passport size photos.

The admit card is important and necessary for a candidate to carry along with them with a valid photo ID to appear in the exam. Without the hall ticket, candidate will not be permitted to sit in the exam.

The hall ticket of the UTET exam will consists of the details including the name of a candidate, roll number, date of birth, father's name, registration number, exam date and time, exam centre details, candidates signature, photograph, category, exam instructions, etc.
