UTET Notification 2025 OUT: The authority released the UTET 2025 notification on the official website at ukutet.com on July 10. The UTET notification PDF 2025 is the first-hand information released by the UBSE for the conduct of the exam. The notification for the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET) 2025 is available as a PDF containing important details such as the exam dates, application process, eligibility criteria, admit card, conduct of exam, exam pattern and syllabus. The UTET application dates were from July 10 to August 5, 2025. The UTET exam was conducted on September 27, 2025.

Q:   Who releases the UTET notification?
A: 

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education, on behalf of the Uttarakhand Government releases the UTET Notification every year to determine the eligibility of the candidates who apply for teaching posts in government and private schools across the state of Uttarakhand. UTET Notification was published on the official website. The UTET Notification was released in Hindi language containing important exam details such as the exam date, the application process, eligibility criteria, answer key, result, qualifying marks, and other important details. UTET Notification 2024 in Hindi was released in PDF format. 

Q:   Where can I check the UTET notification?

The UTET Notification was released on the official website. The Uttrakhand Government releases the UTET Notification in Hindi. The UTET Notification PDF will contain crucial details of the exam including the application process, eligibility criteria, important dates, exam pattern, syllabus and others. Candidates who qualify for the UTET exam become eligible to apply for recruitment as Primary or Upper Primary level teachers in the schools of Uttarakhand. Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt both papers in the UTET exam?

No, it's not necessary, to attempt both papers in the UTET exam. If you want to become a teacher at the primary level (nursery to 5) then go for paper 1 and if you want to become a teacher at the junior level (6 to 8) then go for paper 2. The UTET exam is held for two papers i. e. paper 1 and paper 2. Students planning to teach Classes 1 to class 8 need to give both papers. Both UTET papers are conducted on the same day. The UTET exam 2025 was conducted on September 27 at several xentres in two sessions. Both the papers exam duration is two and hald hours. That is paper was held from 10 am to 12:30 pm and Paper 2 from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

In the UTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. UTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UTET exam.

Teacher Eligibility Test, Uttarakhand (UTET) levels are as follows: I. Primary Level (Class I-V) II. Upper Primary Level (Class IV-VIII) Educational Qualification: 1. Minimum educational qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level): Degree with Minimum 50% from a U.G.C. recognised university/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighters will be given for 5% in Degree & 02 years Diploma (DEd) from NCTE/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Degree with 02 years BTC, CT (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from Established by Law and UGC recognised university. or Degree with qualify in Special B.T.C. Training from a UGC recognised university. or Degree with 02 years BTC Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh from Established by Law and UGC recognised university. or 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) 2. Minimum educational qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Level): Degree with BTC from a UGC recognised university & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) or Degree with 50% from a UGC recognised institution/ Degree (BEd)/ BEd Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Intermediate with 50% & 4 years BA/ BSCEd/ BAEd from recognised by NCTE / UGC or Intermediate with minimum 50% & 4 years Bachelor’s degree in elementary education (BElEd). or Degree with minimum 45% from established by Law and UGC recognised institution (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighter candidates will be given for 5%) & BEd.

To qualify the UTET candidates are needed to achieve the minimum qualifying marks set by the conducting authority. Here are the qualifying criteria

For General Category Candidates: Minimum 60% marks 

For Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH): Relaxation of 5% so they need to score a minimum of 55% marks
