UTET Notification 2025 (Out): Exam Dates, Registration, Results

It is an essential criteria to get the teaching job in primary and upper primary schools in Uttarakhand state. But, it does not guarantee an immediate teaching job but this qualification make a candidate to apply in several schools whether private, government or aided. 

In the UTET exam, papers 1 and 2 contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) each. Paper 1 comprises 5 sections i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper 2 comprises 4 sections with a choice in the fourth one i.e. Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. UTET Marking Scheme: 1 mark is allotted for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UTET exam. 

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) releases the UTET Notification in Hindi containing the important details regarding the exam such as exam date, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, result declaration criteria, etc. UTET Notification will be released by the Uttarakhand Government in PDF format on the official website. Teacher Eligibility Test, Uttarakhand (UTET) levels are as follows: I. Primary Level (Class I-V) II. Upper Primary Level (Class IV-VIII) Educational Qualification: 1. Minimum educational qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Level): Degree with Minimum 50% from a U.G.C. recognised university/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighters will be given for 5% in Degree & 02 years Diploma (DEd) from NCTE/ Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Degree with 02 years BTC, CT (Nursery)/ Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) (02 years) from Established by Law and UGC recognised university. or Degree with qualify in Special B.T.C. Training from a UGC recognised university. or Degree with 02 years BTC Urdu Special Training in Uttar Pradesh from Established by Law and UGC recognised university. or 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) 2. Minimum educational qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Level): Degree with BTC from a UGC recognised university & National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) or Degree with 50% from a UGC recognised institution/ Degree (BEd)/ BEd Special Education from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). or Intermediate with 50% & 4 years BA/ BSCEd/ BAEd from recognised by NCTE / UGC or Intermediate with minimum 50% & 4 years Bachelor’s degree in elementary education (BElEd). or Degree with minimum 45% from established by Law and UGC recognised institution (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ freedom fighter candidates will be given for 5%) & BEd.

The UTET exam consists of two papers and the total marks depends upon the papers. For paper 1 it is 150 and for paper 2 also 150. Those candidates who want to teach from Class I to V give first paper and those from classes VI to VIII give second paper. 

Uttarakhand Board of Secondary education conducts the UTET to determine the eligibility of the candidates for teaching posts in several  private and government schools across the state. It is a qualifying nature test, which enables the recruitment authority to screen candidates who want to become teachers. The exam is conducted in two parts namely Paper 1 and Paper 2.

The UTET 2025 application form was released on July 10 on the official website at ukutet.com. The last date to apply was August 5, 2025. The UTET registration was carried out online. Candidates need to pay the UTET application fee 2025 for successful submission of the online form.

No, candidates can not fill the UTET 2025 application form in an offline mode. Candidates need to fill it in an online mode by visiting the official website.

Candidates should keep the following things ready beforehand while submitting the UTET application form.

• Valid Email ID.
• Mobile number.
• Details about identity proof- Passport/Aadhaar card/voter ID/ration card.
• Scanned images of the candidates photograph and signature as per the specified format.
• Educational qualification certificates.
• Debit or credit card/net banking details, etc.

 The UTET exam fee differs on the based of category and whether candidate is applying for Paper I, Paper II, or both.

Candidates can pay the UTET application fee online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking and UPI if available on the portal.

For General Category Candidates: Minimum 60% marks 

For Reserved Category Candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PH): Relaxation of 5% so they need to score a minimum of 55% marks 

No, the authority has not changed the UTET 2025 exam pattern for both papers 1 and 2. The time duration is two hours thirty minutes. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking.
