RRB Exam Dates 2025 OUT: Group D Exam Date Revised, RRB NTPC, ALP Exam Schedule & RRB 2026 Calendar

Candidates must begin their RRB NTPC exam preparation one year or six months before the exam. They should be thorough with the exam pattern. Knowing the pattern help candidates to understand the overall structure of the exam. 

 

The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is held for 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates accompanied by a scribe). The questions are based on General Awareness, Mathematics and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The exam is held for 100 marks.

The shift timings of RRB Group D exam are made available by exam body. The prelims exam is conducted in four shifts. The mains exam is held in two shifts. The details related to the exam centre are mentioned in the admit card.

Candidates must have passed Class 10 or ITI. Those having equivalent qualification/NCVT/SCVT/National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT are also eligible.

RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The PET/PST is qualifying in nature. Though PET/PST is qualifying in nature, candidates are required to clear it. There is weightage of marks for this stage. The final selection of candidates is done based on CBT provided they qualify PET/PST, medical exam and document verification. Medical exam is conducted by the railway hospitals.

RRB group D exam is conducted in both the language which is Hindi and English both and these questions are in the form of objective, so don't worry about the questions in RRB group D. Keep focusing on the syllabus.

House Rent Allowance depends on city of posting. X category cities get 24 per cent (INR 4,320), Y category cities get 16 per cent (INR 2,880) and Z category cities get 8 per cent (INR 1,440) of basic pay. The CBT of RRB Group D comprises questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. RRB NTPC full form stands for Railway Recruitment Boards Non-Technical Popular Categories. The exam is conducted for recruitment of eligible candidates for various graduate and undergraduate posts. The posts under RRB NTPC recruitment are Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Assistant Station Master, etc.

RRB Group D application form status link is activated after the completion of the application process. Candidates can check their application status till the completion of the CBT. Through RRB Group D application status, candidates can view the eligibility/ineligibility status of their applications. To check the application status, candidates are required to enter registration number/date of birth and security code.

RRBs also release the modification link for those candidates whose application forms are rejected on the grounds of invalid signatures and photographs. Such candidates can avail this facility to re-upload their photographs and signatures as per the specified format. The modification link and application status are made available on the respective official websites of RRBs.To check the application status and upload the photograph and signature, candidates are required to login with registration number, date of birth, and security code.

=Few important points related to RRC/RRB Group D admit card is given below:

• Candidates are informed regarding the release of RRB Group D admit card through SMS and email
• Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before downloading the admit card
• Candidates must bring their RRB Group D call letters and one valid photo ID proof (details of which have been filled in the application form)
• Candidates must bring one colour photograph of size 35mm x 45mm
• Leave the spaces provided in RRB Group D admit card for writing self-declaration, signature and Left Thumb Impression (LTI)
• Candidates need to write the paragraph of self-declaration, sign and affix LTI at RRB Group D exam centre in the presence of the invigilator before the exam concludes
• Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, blue tooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, wrist watches or any other communication devices or pen/pencil, wallet/purses, belts, shoes and metallic wears including ornaments, etc. are not allowed inside the exam centre

The CBT of RRB Group D exam comprises four sections-General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness and Current Affairs. Total marks allotted to CBT are 100. Based on the marks obtained in CBT, candidates are called for PET. The PET is qualifying in nature. Those who qualify the PET are called for document verification. Final empanellment of candidates is done based on the performance in CBT subject to their qualifying the document verification and medical exam. Only online applications are accepted for the exam. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates.

In the process of normalisation,  candidates of particular session generally have increase in the marks as we equalise the difficulty level of this session as compared to the base session. So a few high performer in the difficult session, such as the candidate Example 1 may get normalised marks over 100 also.

Candidates are required to download their admit cards from the zone they have applied for. Before the release of admit card, the exam city slip is released. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. The admit card carries details related to the exam.

RRB Group D exam dates were announced. Exam was conducted from November 27. Total marks for test are 100. There are negative markings in exam. Those qualifying test are called for next round.

The educational qualification for Undergraduate level posts was Class 12. For Graduate-level posts, educational qualification was Graduation. Provided below is the eligibility criteria for few posts: Commercial Apprentice: Degree from recognised University or its equivalent. Senior Clerk Cum Typist: Degree from recognised University or its equivalent Typing proficiency in English/Hindi on Computer is essential Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk: Class 12 or its equivalent with not less than 50 per cent marks in the aggregate. 50 per cent marks are not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and the candidates who possess qualifications higher than Class 12. RRB Group D Probation period is 2 years. Candidates will have to take the training for a period of 2 years, and then will be able to start their job as an RRB Group D Officer.
