Candidates can fill the application form and pay the fee later, however they will need to make the fee payment before the registration deadline so that their form is accepted by the examination authority. Until the fee is paid, the XAT application form will remain pending acceptance. Candidates must note that the registration fee is non-refundable. So, they should fill the form without error, otherwise they will have to fill the form again and pay the fee again.
The total number of seats for BTech offered by XIM University is 120 for the academic year 2024. Although, for the admission process, candidates have to mandatorily register through the JoSAA councelling for BTech seat allocations. In each section, candidates need to provide relevant documentation for the verification process.
Admission to BTech courses at XIM University is provided to candidates who have passed the Class 12 or an equivalent examination with an aggregate score of 60% in the science stream. These include subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Apart from this, applicants also require a valid score in JEE Main entrance exams or Xavier Engineering Selection Test, XEST. All these need to be fulfilled to obtain a seat under the BTech programme.
No, BTech seats cannot be availed of without the entrance exam at XIM University. Admission into UG programmes at XIM University, including BTech, is based on the JEE Main scores. Furthermore, admission to the BTech course is based on registration for the JEE Main, appearing for the examination, and obtaining a valid score. Subsequently, the seats are allotted by JoSAA counselling, based on merit, that too with regard to JEE Main scores, in multiple rounds.
