Yes, IIT Kharagpur does accept GATE scores for admission to its M.Tech programme. Applicants must have a valid GATE score relevant to the discipline of their qualifying degree. In cases where there is no specific GATE paper available for a particular discipline, XE/XL/XH papers of the GATE examination can be considered. GATE is the accepted entrance exam for admission to IIT Kharagpur's M.Tech programme.

IIT Kharagpur offers a four-year BSc course along with a five-year Integrated MSc course across six specialisations each. Those willing to pursue a postgraduate integrated course can take admission in BSc-MSc Integrated, criteria and admission process of which is same as that of BSc. The IIT Kharagpur MSc cutoff 2026 ranged from 337 to 2485 in the first round. The IIT Kharagpur cutoff 2026 was released for the first round for several AI quota categories for admission to the MSc courses.

IIT Kharagpur has one of the largest college campuses. It is even bigger than the IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur campuses combined. Yes, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur offers a BArch programme of five-year duration to students who have qualified JEE Main (paper-II) followed by JEE Advanced. Aspirants qualifying the JEE Advanced exam need to qualify Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) conducted by IIT Kharagpur for admission to the BArch programme followed by JoSAA counselling. The institute has given weightage to all the sections in CAT cut-off for the final shortlisting of the students. For General category candidates, the minimum CAT overall percentile is 90. This is relaxed for reserved category students and stands at 81 percentile for NC-OBC category students and 60 for SC, ST and PwD students.
