MAH HM CET 2026: MAH HM CET is conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Maharashtra. MAH HM CET is a state-level examination conducted for admission into various Hotel Management and Catering Technology courses.

The Maharashtra Hotel Management Common Entrance Test (MAH HM CET) is an exam conducted by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. Steps to fill MAH HM CET Application Form 2026:

  • Register using Name, Guardian name, Gender, Marital Status and Date of Birth, Religion, Region, Mother Tongue, Annual Family Income (Optional), and Nationality, address, contact details, etc. 
  • Complete OTP verification.
  • After verification of OTP, the Candidates will be given an “Application Number”, save it.
  • Fill the rest of the application form.
  • Next, fill in the Domicile and Category details.
  • Then, fill in the qualification details.
  • Then candidates have to fill in the exam centre preferences.
  • In the next steps, candidates need to upload scanned images of photos and signatures.
  • Also, upload the required document for proof of identity.
  • Preview and validate the information.

The admission process for MAH HM CET 2026 is as follows:

The official notification from the test authority will include the eligibility criteria for the MAH HM CET 2026. Before completing the application, all candidates interested in applying for the hotel management CET 2026 registration are recommended to review the requirements for eligibility of MAH HM CET 2026. The following lists the MAH HM CET qualifying requirements for both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Eligibility for the 2026 MAH BHMCT CET:

  • The applicant ought to be a citizen of India.
  • Passed the HSC or a comparable test.
  • A minimum of 45% of the possible points must have been earned overall (at least 40% for candidates from the backward class, the economically disadvantaged group, and those with disabilities who are limited to Maharashtra state).

Eligibility for the 2026 MAH MHMCT CET:

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Passed Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or its equivalent.
  • Must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate for backward class category, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disabilities candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only).

MAH HM CET Preparation Tips

Candidates were advised to prepare well for the hotel management and catering technology entrance test. The difficulty level of the exam was moderate and required good preparation from the candidates’ end. We have thus given below some helpful preparation tips:

Step 1- Make a preparation plan: A properly organised study schedule is the most important strategy, which should be followed by you to meet your goal. Apart from planned study, time management will also help you meet your target.

Step 2- Understand exam pattern and syllabus.

Step 3- Try to get the right materials like books, sample papers, etc. for preparation for the MAH HM CET entrance exam.

A few days before the exam, the CET cell conducted the official mock tests. The MAH BHMCT CET 2026 mock test and MAH MHMCT CET 2026 mock tests were held on the official website. Candidates could appear for the mock test and understand the exam pattern, CBT interface, difficulty level, etc.

The mock tests give the candidates the following advantages:

  • Analysation of the preparation level.
  • Introduction and understanding of the CBT interface.
  • A practical overview of the exam pattern.
  • Candidates can have an experience of the exam before the actual exam day.

MAH HM CET 2026 Admit Card

All the candidates who submit MAH HM CET 2026 application form on time will be issued MAH HM CET admit card. The MAH HM CET admit card 2026 will be issued online. The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra will release the MAH MHMCT CET 2026 admit card online only. To download the admit card, candidates had to enter their application number and password. Without the admit card, the candidates were not allowed to appear in the exam. In the printed copy, candidates had to paste their recent passport-size photograph. Candidates had to hand over the MAH HM CET 2026 hall ticket to the invigilator. 

On the day of the exam along with the MAH HM CET 2026 admit card, candidates had to take any of the following ID with them: 

  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Voter’s Card
  • Bank Passbook with photograph
  • Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College/University
  • Aadhaar Card with a photograph
  • Employee ID/Bar Council Identity card with photograph.

Note - Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License were NOT accepted as valid ID proof.

In the hall ticket, the details like the exam centre address, reporting time, exam start and end time was mentioned.

MAH HM CET 2026 Test Centres

MAH HM CET 2026 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra State only. Each MAH HM CET test centre had many "Venues" depending upon the number of candidates appearing at that centre. Candidates appearing for CET will be asked to give their preference for the center while filling MAH HM CET 2026 online application form. However, the Competent Authority reserved the right to allocate the center and venue.

MAH HM CET 2026 Counselling

MAH HM CET 2026 counselling process is done in online mode through a centralised admission process (CAP) organised by the CET Cell. The merit list includes the names of candidates who have been allocated to institutes. The counselling is conducted through three rounds of CAP (Centralised Admission Process), with the available seats for each round being published on the website beforehand.

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list must complete the admission process by reporting to the allotted institute and securing their seat. If a candidate fails to report to the institute and confirm their seat acceptance as prescribed by the Competent Authority, they will automatically forfeit their claim to the allotted seat, which will then become available for fresh allotment.
