It has the best science departments.

Placements: Our college doesn't provide any placement. We have to get an internship and a job on our own. Only PhD students get a job to teach students when the professors are busy. They pay for those who are in PhD to take classes for undergraduate students.

Infrastructure: The college has a lot of infrastructure and facilities including Wi-Fi and AC classrooms with top-quality instruments and projectors. The building is huge. There is no playground. It has huge classrooms with ample lights.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They teach us very well. They keep us informed of everything easily. This course is a great one offered by our college, and it makes students ready to work outside. Semester exams are very difficult. The pass percentage is 34%.

Other: I chose this course because I have liked geography since childhood. I scored pretty high in board exams. My course is hard but interesting. We could have extra classes and better classroom facilities. We have a lot of events and fests once a year and before Durga Puja, we completely experience the best college life.

Review of Asutosh College.

Placements: In the case of Geography Honours, the college does not provide any placements, but that is usually the case in most colleges. There are generally not many placement options immediately after a Bachelor's degree in geography. Specializing in other courses related to the subject after Honours may land you a placement.

Infrastructure: The necessary facilities like labs, instruments, and maps are all readily available in the college and in good condition. The facilities are also easily accessible. The hostels are a little far away from the college, though. The hostel conditions are decent.

Faculty: The professors are very qualified. They will help you if you need any assistance in your studies. Geography Honours as a course is not very industry-related, but it is a great base for further specialization. The semester exams are hosted by the University of Calcutta. The exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is also about 65-70 percent. It requires quite hard work to get a GPA of more than 8.

Our college has outstanding faculty members, and it gives value to all kinds of talent.

Placements: My stream is general, so students need to study more to acquire more knowledge and certificate to get placed. Some students get jobs in banks, and other students start their businesses. Many students are preparing for UPSC and other jobs. Some students are taking vocational and diploma courses.

Infrastructure: Buildings are very old with dusty rooms. It has a beautiful vintage texture, and still, modern structures would have definitely attracted more students. Cleanliness is very important, but it lacks here. Washrooms are not hygienic enough, and an awful smell comes out. The canteen remains closed most of the time. The food served in the canteen makes students sick, and I suggest students do not try canteen food.

Faculty: Exams are tough to crack, but with hard work and regular studies, one can totally keep up good grades. Teachers are student-friendly. They are always ready to help the students. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students ready for the future. The pass percentage is 80%.

Other: Our college organises mind-blowing fests throughout the year. It gives value to all types of talents. Even food packages are distributed among the students and faculty members.

There are good faculty members and infrastructure here.

Placements: There are no placement facilities in our college. However, students can opt for internships on their own if they intend to do.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure provided by the department are good, and classes are conducted regularly. There is also access to all the books available in the library. The quality of the food served in the canteen is average. Various co-curricular activities are conducted, which include both cultural and sports events. There are all the instruments. Advanced practical classes and field surveys are performed by arranging field trips.

Faculty: There are amazing faculty members here. The professors are very qualified and friendly to students. They ensure that they prepare students to be industry-ready. Though the course is relevant to have great basic knowledge, I feel that the course should be more software-based in order to meet the industry demands.

Asutosh College is one of the best college.

Placements: The placement programmes were arranged, and I was absent. Many students got their job. Many placement programmes are arranged in a year, and the students are informed through SMS. The jobs offered were very good. Though I was absent, our senior batches told me that the jobs are excellent. There is a great opportunity to get a job easily.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, especially the laboratories. The library and the classrooms are good. Teachers and office staff are very helpful. The student union is very good. There is no disturbance in the class about the college elections. The student union is also helpful at the time of admission. There is a free Wi-Fi zone.

Faculty: Geography, Bengali, English, history, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, computer science, fisheries, totally 26 subjects (honours) are offered, and four subjects for masters are offered. Our college is now graded 'A' by NAAC. It has a second campus in Vasa, and it is a green campus.
