The modes of Gauhati University course admissions are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The cut off changes every year. In general, the basic eligibility criteria involves passing Class 12 with a minimum of 40% to 55% aggregate (depending on the selected course). Gauhati University recognises both state and central board scores for admission into the BSc programme. Some of the boards include CBSE, AHSEC, ISCE, ISC etc. Candidates can apply for admission at the university if they have secure a minimum aggregate of 40% from a state or central recognised board. The admission into the programme take place through the CUET-UG entrance exam. So, Candidates will have to appear for that exam once they have cleared their Class 12.
