Yes. PUBDET is conducted by the Presidency University in order to offer candidates admission in Humanities and Science streams at the undergraduate level.  PUBDET comprises separate entrance exams that are conducted to offer admission to aspirants in different Science and humanities programmes offered at Presidency University at the undergraduate level. While appearing for PUBDET exam, candidates can apply for a maximum of any two subjects. 

Candidates are required to keep the following information in mind while appearing for PUBDET counselling round:

• Candidate’s credentials will be verified at the counselling centre.
• Aspirants need to appear in-person at their counselling centre.
• Credentials of candidates eligible for counselling and admission will be verified on stipulated dates, which will notified to the candidates.
• The Presidency University quota will be applicable for candidates who have qualified their BA/BSc (honors) degree through regukar examination of the university as per merit.
• Admission through non-PU quota will be based on the rank secured in PUBDET 2024 entrance exam.

You must first register and fill the application form to appear for the PUBDET exam. You must visit the official website of WBJEEB to fill and apply for PUBDET. In the application form, you are required to fill important information like personal details (name, parent's name, category, contact information, etc.) and academic details (mark sheets, transfer certificate, etc.). As per the schedule released by the exam body WBJEEB, PUBDET 2025 will be conducted on June 21 and 22, 2025. The online PUBDET application form is available from March 28 to April 28, 2025. Aspiring students can fill the application form on the official website - wbjeeb.nic.in/pubdet/.

It is essential to have a valid mobile number and a unique valid email ID. All future communications by the Board will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. WBJEEB will not be held responsible for non-receipt of any communication due to wrong/non- existing/non-functional/changed mobile number/ email ID or due to network interruption.

Once the registration details i.e., name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile and date of birth are entered and submitted, this information cannot be changed/modified/edited under any circumstances. Also, the information must match exactly with the school/college admit cards, mark sheets, certificates, photo identity cards, caste/category/income certificates etc. (as applicable) which a candidate has to produce at the time of entering the examination hall, during counselling/admission and registration with the University.

Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature as per the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin. If any candidate receives any SMS/email regarding discrepancy in photograph/ signature, he/she must take corrective action immediately within one day. Admit cards are not issued if these images are illegible and thus not acceptable.

The Application Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI only. Application fees for PUBDET-2025 is INR 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for one paper and INR 250 for each additional paper, plus the Bank’s Service Charges, if applicable. The entrance exam has its own website. PUBDET comprises separate entrance exams that are conducted to offer admission to aspirants in different Science and humanities programmes offered at Presidency University at the undergraduate level. While appearing for PUBDET exam, candidates can apply for a maximum of any two subjects. 

The candidate is required to upload scanned images of their passport-sized photographs and signature.
