How to check PUBDET 2026 Results?
WBJEEB releases PUBDET rank cards on its official website. Students who took exam can download their rank cards by following these simple steps:
- Visit official PUBDET 2026 website.
- Click on ‘PUBDET 2026 Rank Card’ link.
- Enter your application number, password, and date of birth on login page.
- Click on sign-in button.
- Your PUBDET rank card will appear on screen, showing your ranks and total score.
- Download and print rank card for counselling process.

PUBDET Ranking Method and Rank Cards
Based on candidates' scores in PUBDET 2026 exam, WBJEEB will prepare a merit list. This list will contain all candidates who have qualified for PUBDET 2026 counselling step. The rank shall be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ (General Merit Rank). The ranking will be done in descending order of marks scored in the PUBDET exam 2026.
Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for the respective category of students: SC rank, ST rank, OBC-A rank, OBC-B rank, Pwd rank as applicable. Counselling/allotment of seats/admission will be done based on GMR.
PUBDET 2026 Tie Breaking Methodology
In many cases, two or more students get similar scores. Therefore, WBJEEB has introduced its own tie breaking methodlogy.
In case of a tie, the candidate obtaining less negative score will have a better rank. If a tie exists thereafter, all such candidates will be awarded the same rank and will be considered for counselling and admission with a bunching effect.
PUBDET 2026 Counselling

PUBDET Counselling 2026 will be conducted after the results are out. The official conducting body of PUBDET, WBJEEB will publish a detailed notification informing about PUBDET counselling process, fees, documents, and other valuable details. The list of candidates eligible to take part in the PUBDET counselling process will be released separately on WBJEEB’s official website. Only those aspirants who are eligible will be able to take part in the counselling/seat allocation process.
