Nationality: Citizens of India.
PUBDET Age Limit: PUBDET 2026 has no minimum or maximum age limit. Any Indian citizen who qualifies for academic qualifications can apply for PUBDET entrance exam.
Academic Qualification for PUBDET 2026: Candidates need to clear higher secondary examination (XII) conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or an equivalent exam. Students must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects. It should include English language and exclude Environmental Science. Best four recognized subjects aggregate will be calculated.

2. Fill out Application form
- After successfully registering, candidates can fill out the application form by entering personal details such as domicile, category, PwD status, home district, family income status, religion, nationality, etc. and academic qualifications of class X and XII.
- After filling in the aforementioned details, candidates need to choose any two zones as examination centres and submit the application.
- In the next step, candidates need to upload scanned images of their photographs and signatures.

Points to Remember wrt Images
When you upload PUBDET images, you must remember few small things.
- Your photo should be new one, so it looks same like how you look now. Don’t use blurry or bad quality photo, mobile photo mostly not good.
- The background need to be white only. Your face must cover about half of the picture and you should look straight to camera.
- Keep few extra printouts of your photograph because you will need it later for PUBDET exam centre, counselling time, admission and also when you register in university.

The PUBDET 2026 application fee is INR 500, plus some extra bank charges. You can pay the fee through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or cash using an Allahabad Bank e-challan. If you want to apply for more than one paper, you must pay an extra INR 250 for each additional paper.

After filling out the PUBDET application form, click Submit. A confirmation page will appear—this means your application is complete.
Print and keep this page safe until the admission process is over.
If you lose your confirmation page, you can get a duplicate by applying to the board and paying INR 500 through a bank draft made out to “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board,” payable in Kolkata.

Candidates who fail to produce the admit card at the exam centres will not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
