Miranda House, Delhi University.
Placements: It is a great course. It has great placements too. It has a cell that connects with great companies like DE Shaw, ICICI for roles in consulting, IT, and more, offering a good package with strong recruitment in commerce, economics and computer science, plus the support for higher education is great.
Infrastructure: I think that the infrastructure is a bit old, and there hasn't been really any renovation. There is a great library. The canteen is really good with 4 options, where each canteen serves different options. Sports facilities are good too, but need rebrushing.
Faculty: Very qualified teachers are there. I believe that every professor recruited is more than capable with a diverse teaching style. They teach you beyond the reading and help you find what you wish to do and pursue further. The exams are tough and hard, but great too.
Other: It's a great place.

Good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: It recruited over 100 students. All those students who were able to cross the cutoff got admission into Miranda House. The reserved class probably gained admission more easily compared to non-reserved students. There are no internship programs offered by the college.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are poor. The water is very hard, and the food is also not good. There is only one Wi-Fi connection for the faculty and not for the students. There is a major network issue in the college. The library is large but lacks air conditioning. The canteen food is nice, and the washrooms are also well-maintained.
Faculty: The faculty is good but not punctual. Most of the time, the classes get canceled. The curriculum is really poor; with seven exams, it feels no different from school. The more you study, the easier the exams become. Overall, the syllabus is enormous, and you also have to make your own notes.
Other: I chose this course because I want to pursue UPSC.

The safest place to develop yourself internally other than academics also .
Placements: Placements are quite good. The maximum package is around 19 lacs. The top recruiting companies are HCL, HP, DHL, and Wipro. The top roles offered in our course are content writing, graphic design, and debate specialists. Around 30 to 40 percent of students used to be placed in our course .
Infrastructure: Wi-fi facilities are not as good as they can be. The amazing library facilities are nice, but classrooms are not fully air-conditioned. Hostel facilities are good, but the lack of air conditioning and quality of food in the hostel and canteen are good. Medical facilities are quite good, and the functioning sports zone is very active .
Faculty: Yes, professors are well qualified, their teaching skills are amazing, and yes, sociology honors help us in further competitive exams. They are also very helpful for civil semester exams, which are good but not so complicated. The passing percentage is approximately 33 percent.
Other: Our course helps us know our society internally in a deeper sense. I wish that sociology honors should focus more on Indian sociology; as of now, we study more about western society and sociologists. The crowds on campus are quite happening and safe, and the college surrounding it is also fine. Events and fests are safe, and our college used to invite a lot of speakers almost every week, which helps students with guidance.

Our college provides good placements and has a pleasant atmosphere.
Placements: The majority of sociology graduates want to work in government jobs or further their education. Placements in this domain are relatively less significant. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA to 7 LPA. Top roles offered are content creator, market head, and admin head.
Infrastructure: Our college has excellent infrastructure. It is updating its equipment. Our labs and classrooms are perfect. Sometimes, projectors create a problem, but that's not a big issue.
Faculty: Our teachers are extremely knowledgeable. Regular tutorials are held to help students in clearing their doubts. Tests and assignments are conducted frequently. Achieving a CGPA of 10 in sociology is impossible, but that does not make the subject difficult. Exams are average, but strict checking is done on occasion. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Our college celebrates many festivals. The diversity of the college makes it so vibrant. Societies and inter-college competitions are the cherries on top. Every day, our college organises events so students get hardly bored on campus.

Q:   Which is a better college for BA and BA (Hons) courses: Hindu College or Miranda House?
A:

The following table mentions a comparison between both these top colleges of DU for their undergraduate courses in the field of Arts and Humanities:

College Name

BA Fee Range

Median Salary (UG 3-year)

Hindu College

INR 52,680 - INR 52,770

INR 6.4 LPA

Miranda House

INR 42,480 - INR 51,240

INR 6 LPA

Based on the details mentioned in the above table, it can be concluded that both these colleges are equally good and candidates can go for any of the two options where they qualify for admission. However, there is a minute difference in between the course fee and salary that the BA/ BA (Hons) passouts get after completing this course. But the gap is too small to be considered in rating a college better than the other. Miranda7 Hindu College with other colleges here

No, for your desired course, the eligibility criteria is merit based or if you wish to apply from ECA, then that also offers an option. Otherwise, there are no entrance exams for this course.
