Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty.
Placements: There are my friends who have been selected for the Times of India editor, in Tata Power, in Wipro, and in Hitachi. There are many other opportunities, such as being the president of the department and representing your college in almost all the universities in Delhi.
Infrastructure: The hostel is fully safe and secure for girls as they have the best staff to ensure the security of all girls staying there, in every field, like health, food, education, and entertainment. The best part is that the campus is surrounded by the serene beauty of nature with the wonderful voices of peacocks.
Faculty: From my point of view, my course teachers are the best in the college, as I was totally new to the subject of sociology, and they just taught it like a cake walk. The assignments and field work arranged by them gave us the opportunity to observe the society more closely.
Other: I'm a graduate of 2025, B.A. Hons Sociology. The department's fest is the best, and the seminars conducted by the teachers are very knowledgeable. The teachers are highly professional in their subjects.

About Maitreyi, from Maitreyi .
Placements: Our course generally doesn't have students sitting for placements because it doesn't offer job-friendly skills. If someone is willing to enhance their skills, they can definitely go for it. But, most companies only want commerce and math students in their interviews.
Infrastructure: Although, I am not in the hostel.
Faculty: Faculty is nice and helpful if they are willing to help. Otherwise, professors, especially in our department, can be moody at times. But, they are quite knowledgeable and have great research skills, which help us apply classroom knowledge to real-life scenarios.
Other: Overall, the college is nice. There are several departments. Some are good, while others are not, but the crowd is quite nice and disciplined. The infrastructure and the garden add to the beauty of everything around, and the annual fests and other gatherings of Maitreyi are quite popular in the DU circle. Other than this, the Centre for Research is very active, and the Department of Sociology is an active member, giving their students exposure to research. I can tell you about the course. The course is interesting, but at times quite lengthy, a little confusing, and somewhat outdated. In research, we are taught techniques that are very old and not in use nowadays.

College is good and nice.
Placements: No one has been placed yet because we all are in our last year. There are not many placements for the humanities students. The opportunities which are there are more for technical skill students.
Infrastructure: The facility is good and the infrastructure is also really nice. The classrooms are spacious and clean. Wi-Fi is also good. Hostel facility is also available. The food is not that good, and the canteen food is average. The sports facilities are lacking in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Faculty members are good. They are always there for any kind of help that students need. We can contact the teachers for help but also some teachers don't support students with extracurricular activities.
Other: I wish there would be more good sports options and facilities. It would be great if the teachers could support the students who participate in extracurricular activities.

It provides really good infrastructure.
Placements: None people applied in my course for placements and thus the percentage was less than even 30%. The highest salary offered in my course is Rs 30,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs 10,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs 20,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Urban Company and Tech for India. More than 60% of people got internships from my course in companies such as Youth India Foundation, Tech for India, Urban Company, etc. Top roles offered in my course are content writing, teaching, human resource, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my department include good Wi-Fi connection, cleaned classrooms, and computer labs. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is of poor quality. Medical facilities are average. Sports and games are also average.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is always relevant and it makes students industry ready. Semester exams are a bit difficult in this college. The passing percentage is above 40%.
Other: I chose this course because sociology was my favourite subject in class 12th so, I ultimately decided to pursue sociology honors.

Review of Maitreyi College.
Placements: I don't want any placement from my college as I will be preparing for civil services after my graduation. The highest package offered in our college is 21 Lacs per annum. The average package is 5.3 Lacs per annum. The placement percentage is around 40%, which is a decent percentage.
Infrastructure: I'm impressed by the infrastructure of the college; it's quite good though it's a government college. The building is not too old, but it is good-looking too. The classrooms, labs, and library are well-maintained here. Hostel facilities are also provided by the college. Good quality of hostel rooms with all facilities required: table, B.Ed almirah, AC, Wi-Fi, and many more.
Faculty: There are a lot of faculty members in our college, and everyone is too nice to be hated or disliked. This is because the level of comfort and joy while they teach is absolutely wow. In a year, there are two exams: mid-semester and final semester. The course curriculum is quite relevant.
Other: I opted for this course because I love to do social work, and from my class 11, my interest developed in this course. Events and fests are organized occasionally, and the connectivity of the college to the nearest metro is approximately 2 km.
