A good college that you can join.

Placements: About 83% of students are placed in my batch; the strength of my batch is 109. The highest package in my batch is INR 44 LPA, and the lowest one is INR 7 LPA from this year until now. Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Goldman Sachs, Samsung Semiconductor, BNY Mellon, Legato, and many more. In my batch, in total, 13 students got internships and 12 got FTEs after internships, and the companies are Amazon, BNY Mellon, Goldman Sachs, SAP Labs, etc. Roles offered were SDE 1, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Cyber Security, Associate Manager, and Deputy Manager.

Infrastructure: The facilities for my course and other courses are almost the same; for all batches of MCA, there is a separate class available, intellectual teachers are there, lab facilities are provided along with a good internet connection, and there is a study room called Octagon in which students can study 24 hours a day with high-speed internet and AC facilities. Students can also study in the library until the evening, which is a huge library. Almost all types of gaming facilities are available: gyms, swimming pools, and more. In hostels, 24*7 Wi-Fi, water, and washing machines are available, along with one common room where we can enjoy cricket matches on TV. Genuinely, food quality is average, with both north Indian and south Indian mess options available. There are numerous canteens open until 2 a.m., and hospital services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Faculty: Some of the teachers are helpful, and they are so qualified. Where teaching quality is above average, MCA is not as powerful as compared to B.Tech and M.Tech courses at NIT Trichy, but it is above average, we can say. As compared to all other NITs, NIT Trichy's semester exam is the toughest; here, students get an 8.5 CGPA out of 10 CGPA very rarely.

Other: I chose this course to become a good software engineer. The best thing about my course is that it is fully dedicated to software engineers. There are some outdated subjects available in my course that should be removed. In terms of events, I think NIT Trichy is very nice for Festember, NITT Fest, Pragyan, SportsFete, and all types of festival and events.

Our college provides good placements.

Placements: Placements provided in our course are very good. More than 98% of students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA, the average salary package is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package is around 8 LPA to 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are DE Shaw, Codenation, Google, Amazon, BNY Mellon, SAP Labs, Samsung, Razorpay, Morgan Stanley, Citi Corp, etc. The roles offered in this course are software engineer and data analyst. Companies visit our college in the 3rd semester to provide internships for upcoming summer vacations. Around 15-20% of students grab internship offers and all of them get converted to PPOs. Companies also visit in the 5th semester to provide full-time employment.

Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided in our college like a central library and computer labs to sit 24X7. Hostels are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi. Students can access the college-level library or labs and departmental library and labs. Computer application is the department for the MCA course. There are 26 boys' hostels and most of them are 2 seaters. Some of them are 3 seater and 1 seater. PG students get 1 seater hostels. There are 6 to 7 messes having different cuisines like South Indian, north Indian, Kerala, Hyderabad, Andhra, etc. Students can choose the mess every month. Food quality and quantity are above average, and punctuality is maintained. There are multiple canteens inside the campus that provide snacks and different food items.

Faculty: The course curriculum for MCA is designed very well as every year, it is changed according to the communication with the alumni who are working in the industry. Professors are well qualified with Ph.D. They teach well according to the course curriculum. It is a 6-semester course.

Other: I chose this course because it provides good placements. Students get similar opportunities as CSE students. Students can get admission in this course through the NIMCET exam according to their rank. Our college organises 3 college-level fests such as Festember, Pragyan, and Nittfest. Sportsfete is the sports fest organised in our college where students from different branches and departments compete with each other in different sports. Campus crowd is moderate. Our campus is spread over 800. There are around 8,000 to 10,000 students in our college. Scholarships are provided by the college that are funded by the college alumnus but that scholarship is grabbed by only a few students. They apply for scholarships from their states, as every state provides scholarships to their students studying outside. There is a central-level scholarship provided by the NSP portal. Our college has many technical clubs that organises different events like technical and non-technical frequently which are managed by the students. Some technical clubs help in managing different college parts like mess and a payment app has been made in the food stall. Students learn many things and industry-level work through these events.
