For NIMCET 2026, there are 11 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and 2 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) officially participating in the centralised seat allotment (CAP) process. Admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program is strictly based on the All India Rank (AIR) and scores secured in the entrance exam.

The NIMCET cutoff is released after the completion of the counselling process. Candidates will be able to check the previous-year cutoffs for various institutes. No, the NIMCET final cutoff for admission with NIMCET results varies by category and institute. After the announcement of the NIMCER result, candidates will be able to check their final rank for admission via NIMCET as well as the seat allotment list. - Get Your Rank Card: Once NIMCET results are declared, check your email for a link from the NIMCET authorities to download your rank card.
- Access the Portal: Use the temporary username and password sent to your email to log in to the official choice-filling website.
- Secure Your Account: Immediately change your login credentials to a new username and password of your choice.
- List Your Preferences: Select your preferred NITs and IIITs from the list and arrange them in your desired order.
- Edit and Finalize: You can modify or reorder your selections as many times as you like. However, once you lock your choices, you cannot make any further changes.
