BHU UET 2020 commenced from September 9 onwards and, will be held until September 18. Know here BHU UET 2020 Student Reaction from the candidates who took the exam. 

Banaras Hindu University has commenced the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) 2020 from September 9 onwards. The exam will be held in different shifts on all days for various courses until September 18. The exam is being held in a Computer-Based Test and Paper-Based Test mode (as selected by the candidates) in more than 110 test cities. The exam centre officials have arranged for necessary sanitisation to ensure COVID-19 safety. Shiksha covered the entrance exam from a test centre in Lucknow for the BCom paper that was held in the first shift of the day. 

The exam day began with reporting by candidates starting from 7:00 am onwards and, the last entry was allowed until 9:00 am. The test centre has seating arrangement for around 250 candidates, however, only 150 candidates were scheduled to take the exam from this test centre. Due to COVID-19 risk, roughly 40 candidates took the exam in this shift. The test centre gates were kept closed, and only candidates reporting to the test centre were allowed entry. Once the exam was over around 11:00 am, only a few candidates were allowed to exit at a time. Read here to know student reactions for BHU UET 2020 as they appeared for the exam.

COVID-19 Safety Instructions for candidates taking the exam at the test centres: 

The exam centre officials have placed COVID-19 safety instructions at the entry gate of the examination hall for the candidates taking the exam. Moreover, they ensured the social-distancing norms are followed by the candidates.

Aditya Yadav shared that he travelled from Ambedkar Nagar to the allotted test centre of BHU UET 2020 in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. He said that the exam centre was well-equipped with all the arrangements for COVID-19 safety. All the guidelines were followed properly and the seating arrangement was done perfectly. He added that the exam was moderately difficult as it was based on the Class 11th and 12th syllabus only. He said the question paper was a bit changed than last year but it was easy.

Ruchi who came from Hardoi to take the exam at the allotted test centre in Lucknow shared that she was a bit worried due to Coronavirus. However, she shared the facility was good at the test centre and she felt safe from COVID-19. She added that the exam centre officials provided them with safety gears such as masks, sanitizer and gloves inside the examination hall. Talking about the question paper, she shared that the exam was easy and, she could perform well as she got enough time to prepare for the exam due to delays. 

Jhanvi Gupta, another candidate at the test centre shared that the facilities at the test centre for COVID-19 safety were good. She got safety materials from the exam centre officials before entering the examination hall. Each candidate got their body temperature checked with thermometer gun and, properly sanitized. 

Another candidate, Unnatti who maintained social-distancing while exiting the examination hall shared that the examination was fine and, she could prepare well in the given time. She shared COVID-19 pandemic could not affect her exam preparations at all. She completely focused on the preparation all the time as she aimed to score well in the exam. 

The next shift for BSc Hons was scheduled from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm for which the candidates began reporting from 12 pm onwards.
