The total seats offered in NLU Delhi are-
  • for admission to BA LLB program - 120 seats
  • for LLM ciourse - 81 seats  
The additional seats are also offered for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates.
Q:   When will the merit list of DU LL.B. 2023 admissions be released?
A:
The merit list of Delhi University will be published within a week after the results of CUET-PG 2023 are declared. The university will prepare a merit list of all candidates who appeared for LL.B. Paper through CUET-PG 2023. However, the candidates must have selected Delhi University as their preferred university for admission to LL.B. Course. Thereafter, the university will release merit list for each category and campus separately based on the following factors: Cut-off marks for each respective category Eligibility criteria of the three-year LL.B. Q:   Does NLU Delhi accept any other entrance exam for admission?

The entrance exam accepted for admission to the BA LLB and LLM courses at the NLU Delhi is AILET. No other entrance exam is accepted for the admission to the institute. Candidates appearing in any other Law entrance exam such as CLAT, MHCET Law, SLAT, will have to appear for the AILET to increase their scope of admission to NLU Delhi.

NLU Delhi has a well-functioning library. The library houses over 37,500 books and bound volumes of Journals. It also has 180 current subscriptions to journals and newspapers along with 250 CDs and DVDs. Q:   Can I get admission to BA LLB (Hons.) course offered by Army Institute of Law based on my CLAT scores?
A:

No, Army Institute of Law, Panipat does not accept score of CLAT or other law entrance exams for admission to BA LLB (Hons.) course admission. To get admission to these courses candidates will have to take the Army Institute of Law - Law Entrance Test (AIL LET). 

AIL LET exam will tentatively be held in June 2026. To take the exam, aspirants will have to fill out the AIL LET 2026 application form.

Now, the Faculty of Law - JMI offers BA LLB (Hons) programmes as well as two year LLM course in three specialisations as Personal Law, Corporate Laws and Criminal Law. The law school also offers a PhD programme in law to aspirants.

In the LLM course, there are 20 seats, whereas in the BA LLB (Hons) and BA LLB (Self-financed) courses, there are 60 seats each available for admission.

Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University

Admission through: AMU law entrance exam

Established in 1894, Aligarh Muslim University’s Faculty of Law is one of the oldest law schools in the country. This law school offers admissions to 100 students in its BA LLB course.

Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) offers graduate, postgraduate, PhD as well as diploma programmes in law. The college library is known to have more than 24,000 books.

Students also need to undergo summer training programmes. As part of these internships students of AMU’s Faculty of law intern at NHRC - New Delhi, law firms of the Supreme Court of India; guided by the Secretary Bar Council, Supreme Court etc.

Babasheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University

Admission through: CUET

The School of Legal Studies at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University offers a five-year integrated BBA LL.B. (Hons.), a two-year LL.M., and Ph.D. programs in Law. The BBA LL.B. combines business administration and legal education, with a curriculum designed to bridge theory and practice; it admits 60 students per batch at about ₹60,000 per semester. The LL.M. spans four semesters with similar intake, while the Ph.D. program supports advanced research under expert faculty guidance. (Hons.), and a unique six-year B.Tech LL.B. blending engineering and law . Established in 2005, Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University or RMLNLU become functional in 2006. Spread over an area of 42 acres, Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University houses 1,500 students along with 150 faculty and non-teaching staff. RMLNLU has four lecture halls which can accommodate 250, 96, 40 and 20 students, respectively. The law school campus even has shopping plaza for the convenience of its students. Apart from this, RMLNLU has an auditorium which has a seating capacity of 3,500 people. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

Admission Through: CUET

Admission to GGSIPU’s five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) is based on CLAT-UG scores, followed by online registration and counselling via the university portal. If seats remain vacant, CUET-UG (Law) is used as an alternative merit route. For the newly launched three-year standalone LLB (from academic year 2025–26), admission is through the university’s own CET. For postgraduate LLM, admission relies on CLAT-PG scores. All programs are aligned with Bar Council of India standards and involve merit-based selection and counselling processes.

Lovely Professional University’s School of Law, approved by the Bar Council of India, offers five-year integrated programs (BA LL.B. Hons. and BBA LL.B. Hons.), a three-year standalone LL.B., a one-year LL.M., and full-time/part-time Ph.D. in Law. Admissions are via LPUNEST, which also provides scholarships (10-100% fee waiver). University of Lucknow

The University of Lucknow’s Faculty of Law offers a 3-year LL.B. (6 semesters) and a 2-year LL.M. (4 semesters). The LL.B. program has 320 seats, with semester fees of approximately INR 4,565, and requires a minimum of 45 per cent for general (42 per cent OBC, 40 per cent SC/ST) in graduation. LL.M. offers around 60 seats, with a semester fee of INR 6,545 and eligibility of 50 per cent for general/OBC (48 per cent for SC/ST). Admissions are conducted online via the LURNS portal (Lucknow University Registration and Networking System), requiring LURN generation, application fee, document upload, fee payment, and merit-based selection.

Manipal University Jaipur

(Ranked 32 in NIRF Ranking 2025)

At MUJ’s School of Law, admission to five-year integrated programs—BA LL.B. (Hons.), BBA LL.B. (Hons.), B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com LL.B. (Hons.) requires 50 per cent in 10+2 exams (45 per cent for SC/ST) and considers scores from CLAT, AILET, or MHCET Law, followed by a personal interview. For the 3-year LL.B., candidates need a bachelor’s degree with 50 per cent aggregate. LL.M. programs (Corporate & Commercial, Criminal & Security, Intellectual Property Law) require an LL.B. with 50 per cent marks, and admission combines academic merit with a written entrance test and personal interview
