The syllabus of the MHCET Law exam is released by the State examination cell on the official website. The syllabus is released for both the five-year LLB and three-year LLB courses along with the notification. The subject wise syllabus is provided by the state examination cell to prepare for the MH CET Law exam. The syllabus includes subjects such as legal aptitude and reasoning, GK and current affairs, logical and analytical reasoning, english and mathematics subjects.  Along with this, candidates must check the MHCET Law exam pattern before preparing for the exam.

MHCET Law Syllabus 2026 for Legal Aptitude and Reasoning

The questions in the Legal Aptitude and Reasoning section will be around the following topics: 

  • The study of law, research aptitude, and problem-solving ability
  • Legal prepositions and a set of facts to which the said propositions have to be applied
  • Some prepositions may not be true in the real sense, candidates will have to assume the truth of these prepositions and answer the question.

MHCET Law 2026 Syllabus for Logical and Analytical Reasoning

To score well in this section, candidates should prepare the topics as under: 

  • Patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments
  • Wide analogies, completing arguments, drawing well supported conclusions, reasoning by analogy, applying principles or rules.
  • Variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies etc.
  • This subject is to measure the ability to understand the structure, relationship and to draw logical conclusions about the structures. It includes reasoning deductively from the set of statements and rules or principles that describes the relationship among persons, things or events.

MHCET Law Syllabus 2026 for English Language

Candidates should prepare the following topics to score well in the English section of MHCET Law question paper:

  • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies etc)
  • Proficiency (Idioms and phrases, one-word substitutions, sentence improvement  and rearrangement, fill in the blanks etc)
  • English comprehension with a minimum of two passages followed by 5-10 questions that test reading and reasoning abilities.
  • English usage errors (common errors, spotting errors, inappropriate usage of words, spelling mistakes etc.)

MH CET Law 2025 will follow the marking scheme as under:

  • The questions will be objective Multiple Choice Questions with Four options.
  • For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded to candidates. 
  • There is no negative marking in the exam, therefore, in case of wrong attempts no marks will be deducted from the total marks. 
  • However, candidates must note that no marks will be awarded or deducted in case they leave questions unanswered.

Changes in MH CET Law Syllabus

MH CET LLB syllabus for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB is same, however the number of questions to be asked has been reduced from 150 to 120. Now the caniddates will have to answer 120 MCQ type questions within 2 hours (120 minutes).
