How to Calculate the MH CET Law 2026 3-Year and 5-Year Law Scores?
The MH CET LLB 2026 exam for admission to the 3-year LLB course and 5-year LLB course is conducted in multiple shifts. The question paper for each shift is different, which makes it difficult for the Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra to calculate and compare the scores of all candidates. Check out the steps to compute the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB scores for the MH CET Law 2026 below:
Step 1: Distribution of Examinees in 2 Days and in 2 Shifts per Day: Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has approximately equal number of candidates. Suppose: Session-1: Day-1 Batch 1 (D1-B1), Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2 (D1-B2), Session-3: Day-1 Batch 3 (D1-B3).
Step-2: Preparation of Results for each Session: The examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of Raw Scores.
Total Percentile (TP) = 100 X No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score
Total No. of Candidates appeared for the session
Step-3: Compilation of Total CET score: The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all four sessions (Session- 1: Day-1 Batch 1-1, Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2, and Session-3: Day-1 Batch-3 as calculated in Step-2 above, will be merged and shall be called the CET Percentile scores, which will then be used for the compilation of the results.
The Percentile of all four sessions will be calculated separately for the total raw score.
MH CET Law 2026 Score Calculation in Simple Words
First of all, the CET Cell Maharashtra will consider all the candidates who appear in a particular slot or batch as a group and determine the mean and standard deviation for the total number of candidates in this group. Then, the exam authority will calculate the mean and standard deviation for candidates in all slots (sessions) individually.
In the next step, the standard score of each candidate will be calculated using the Standard Score Formula mentioned above. Thereafter, an equated score will be calculated for all the candidates. If the score of a candidate is in decimal, it will be rounded off to the nearest whole number. If the score of a test-taker is 124.9188199 in the MH CET Law 2026 exam, it will be rounded off to 125, which will be the final score.
Example: Suppose a test was held in 3 sessions of examinees as per the details given below: (Allocation of Days and shifts were done randomly).
Distribution of candidates was as follows: Session 1: Day 1 Batch 1 (D1-B1), Session 2: Day 1 Batch 2 (D1-B2), Session 3: Day 1 Batch 3 (D1-B3).

In this method of scoring, the Highest Raw Score in each paper (irrespective of the raw scores) will be the 100th percentile, indicating that 100% of candidates have scores equal to or less than the highest scorer/ topper for that session.
Highest Raw Score and Percentile Score: All the highest raw scores will have a normalized Percentile Score of 100 for their respective session.
What is a Percentile Score? - Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. Basically, the marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.

General Knowledge (GK) is often said to be the hardest part of the MH CET Law exam because it's wide, changing, and not easy to predict. Current affairs are usually simpler to handle, but the static GK part that includes history, geography, and legal topics becomes tough for many students.
