The MH CET Law 2026 3-year LLB & 5-year LLB results will be declared within 30-45 days of the exam on the official website. The MH CET Law entrance result for both 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB will be released separately online on the official website of CET Cell Maharashtra, cetcell.mahacet.org. Normalization process is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multiple shift papers. There are possibilities of different level of difficulties in each shift for the same exam, however to tackle this scenario, the Normalization Method will be used to calculate the MH CET Law 3-year and 5-year LLB results.

Step 1: Candidates would be distributed into four sessions randomly so that each session has approximately equal number of candidates. Suppose: Session-1: Day-1 Batch 1 (D1-B1), Session-2: Day-1 Batch-2 (D1-B2), Session-3: Day-1 Batch 3 (D1-B3).

Step-2: The examination results for each session would be prepared in the form of Raw Scores.

Total Percentile (TP) = 100 X No. of candidates appeared from the session with raw score equal to or less than T1 score

                               Total No. of Candidates appeared for the session

Step-3: The Percentile scores for the Total Raw Score for all the four sessions (Session- 1: Day-1 Batch 1-1, Session-2: Day-1 batch-2 and Session-3: Day-1 Batch-3 as calculated in Step-2 above would be merged and shall be called the CET Percentile scores which will then be used for compilation of result.

The Percentile of all four sessions will be calculated separately for the total raw score.

The MH CET Law 2026 answer key for the 3-year LLB course will be released within a few days of the exam. Candidates can raise objections to answer key during the answer key objection window. The fee per objection is INR 1,000.

As per the previous year trends, the score above 99 will be considered a good score for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. However, the good score depends on many factors such as targetted college, category of the candidate, reservation policy, and the overall performance of the candidate. For admission to top law colleges accepting MH Law CET score, the cut off score is declared which also depends on the number of the candidate and difficulty level of the papers.

With a rank of 1748 in the MH CET Law 3-year LLB exam, you stand a good chance to get admission in several well-known law colleges across Maharashtra. You may find seats in top private colleges and even some mid-level government-aided institutions, based on your category whether you belong to Maharashtra State or the All India quota.

Once the MH CET 3-year LLB result is released, candidates will have to download their scorecard through the official website. After the MH CET Law 3-year LLB result is published, the exam authority will release the separate notification for CAP, Centralised Admission Process, which will allow candidates to select their preferred college for admission and upload the necessary documents.

Candidates can expect the following score to be safe to secure seats in top Colleges accepting MH CET Law score including GLC Mumbai and ILS Pune for the 3-year LLB MH Law CET exam:

The MH CET Law merit list is a list of candidates who have been shortlisted for counseling based on their rank in the MH CET Law entrance exam. The merit list is prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State), OMS (Other State / Outside Maharashtra State) candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Candidates and INR, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) or All India category candidature type, Foreign Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI) / Overseas Indian Citizen (OIC) / Person of Indian Origin (PIO) candidates. Candidates cannot raise objections against the merit list.

The MH CET Law merit list is released by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra. Candidates can check their MH CET Law merit list on the official website of the CET Cell, Maharashtra.

MH CET Law 2026 result for the 3-year LLB course will be released online on the website. The candidates will be able to check their scores through the candidate's login portal. Thereafter, the examination cell will conduct the counselling for the successful students.

The MH CET Law 2026 merit list has not been released yet. The 3-year LLB exam was conducted on April 1 and April 2, 2026. After the result announcement, the merit list will be released under the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) on the CET Cell website.

For MNLU Mumbai (CLAT), you usually need to be in the top 500–600 ranks, which is around 90–95+ marks out of 120 for General All India candidates. The closing rank often goes near 1473 by the third round. In MH CET Law, getting around 115–120+ marks is mostly safe if you're aiming for top law colleges in Maharashtra. The cutoff marks can change depending on your category and which MNLU campus you choose — Mumbai, Nagpur, or Aurangabad.

Modern Education Society's New Law College (NLC), Mumbai takes admission for the 3-year LLB course through the Maharashtra Law Common Entrance Test (MH CET Law). If you're from the general category, getting around 115+ marks gives you a strong chance of getting in. Even with 100+ marks, you still have a fair shot at admission depending on the cutoff that year.

For MHCET Law 2025 (5-year LLB), getting around 90 to 100+ marks is usually seen as a strong score for top colleges. If you're aiming for ILS Pune or other top law institutes, you mostly need a 98 percentile or higher to stay safe.

For the 3-year LLB, a score above 115 marks often puts you in the top range for the best colleges. Even if you get 100+, it's still quite competitive and can get you into good law schools.

These numbers can change a bit each year, but keeping your target near those marks gives you a solid chance at top MHCET Law colleges.

Every student who gives the MH CET Law exam, whether for 3-year or 5-year LLB, gets a rank once their marks are checked. Your score is mostly shown as a percentile, which tells how good you did when compared with others who wrote the test.

The registration process for the counselling started will begin online on the CET cell official website at cetcell.mahacet.org. The CAP process will be conducted for 3-year and 5-year LLB separately. Once the counselling registration will be over, the exam authority will release the MH CET Law merit lists. Candidates will be given option for choice filling during the CAP process.

After the MH CET Law results, you need to join the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) to get your seat. You first register on the CET Cell portal, then finish document verification either online or at an FC center.

Next, you fill your college preferences in the options form. Once a seat is allotted, you must freeze the seat and pay the fees to confirm your admission.

Under MH CET Law CAP process, float option is a term through which if candidates are not satisfied with the allotted colleges, they can choose this 'Float' option. Candidates exercising this option are eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.
