Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science MBA admission is based on the academic merit of the candidate. It offers a full-time MBA programme of a two-year duration under 17 specialisations. Out of these, two specialisations are offered in collaboration with IBM, one with IMAT and one with NSE.

Hindustan Insitute of Technology and Science admission process for MBA programme generally begins in April every year. Those seeking to enrol in one of the courses offered by this institute can apply through its official website. HITS Chennai admission process for MBA programme is provided in a brief below:

Hindustan University Application Process 2021

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science application process is conducted online as well as offline. Candidates are required to pay a sum of Rs 1,200 (USD 200 for NRI /foreign nationals) as application processing fee. The steps to fill the admission forms for both the modes are mentioned below:

Online mode

Step 1: Visit the official website of HITS (www.hindustanuniv.ac.in) and click on 'Apply Now'.

Step 2: Select the desired course which leads to the course registration page.

Step 3: Enter the applicant’s personal details, including name, e-mail ID and mobile number.

Step 4: Acknowledge the registration link received over mail and log in with the same credentials.

Step 5: Fill in the personal as well as the academic details of the applicant.

Step 6: Scan and upload the required documents.

Step 7: Pay the application fee of Rs 1,200 through net banking or debit/ credit card.

Step 8: Review the application and click on the 'Submit' button.

Offline mode

In case of the offline application, candidates need to download the form, fill it carefully and send it with the copies of the required documents and a DD of Rs 1,200 drawn in favour of HITS, Padur to the address mentioned below:

List of required documents:

Candidates need to submit below-mentioned documents while filling the application form:

  • Recent passport-size photograph in JPEG/JPG format (size should be between 100-200 KB)
  • Signature in JPEG/JPG format (size should be between 100- 200 KB)
  • Mark sheet of Class 10 and Class 12 in PDF format
  • Graduation/ Post-graduation mark sheet and degree (for PG/PhD) in PDF format

Hindustan University Scholarships 2021

HITS offers various scholarships to the students belonging to SC/ ST/ EWS category. Meritorious students are also given the privilege of scholarships. Recently, the institute has added scholarship schemes for the wards of Covid warriors as well. All Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science scholarship programmes are mentioned below:

1. SC/ ST Scholarship Government of India: Candidates, who belong to Tamil Nadu and have completed Class 12, are eligible for this scholarship. The annual income of the parents should not exceed Rs 1 LPA. The candidates should not be in receipt of another scholarship/assistance from other sources. The scholarship can be renewed every year.

2. Merit cum Means Scholarship: The top scorers in Class 12 are awarded financial aid to pursue their higher studies in HITS. This scholarship is meant to be availed by meritorious students from weaker sections.

3. Sports Scholarship: HITS is renowned for its sports excellence. It gives special importance to the students who have excelled in sports over the years under its Sports Quota.

4. Research Fellowships: HITS has instituted Hindustan Teaching Research Fellowships (HTRF) for eligible research scholars. This scholarship is available for MPhil, PhD and MS by Research students. Those who have achieved accolades at the national, inter-university and state levels can apply in April every year along with their merit certificates.

5. Dr KCG Verghese Memorial Foundation Scholarships/Aid: This scholarship proposes to offer financial aid to meritorious and deserving students towards their education and medical relief to the poor.

6. Dr Elizabeth Verghese Founder Scholarship: This scholarship has been instituted to empower girls with academic potential to pursue higher education and who are from lower-income families.

7. Hindustan Loyalty Scholarship: This Scholarship is available for the Alumni of the Hindustan Group of Institutions. Allocation of Scholarship is subject to norms and the scrutiny of the Scholarship Committee. It is open for children of alumni, immediate family members of alumni, alumni for higher studies and children of the staff of HGI.

8. Covid Frontline Warriors Scholarship: This scheme is instituted to grant scholarships to the wards of doctors, healthcare professionals, government and service personnel who have been affected by the pandemic or lost their lives. It is available for a duration of two years. In total, 100 scholarships are proposed to be offered across all courses.

9. Covid Martyrs Scholarship: The wards of Covid warriors, who lost their lives protecting the pandemic-affected patients, will be provided with a 100% tuition fee waiver in the stream of their choice. Such wards must meet the eligibility norms set by HITS. The boarding and lodging expenses of the selected students will be taken care of by the institute. Additionally, a monthly stipend will also be given to the eligible students.

10. Merit Scholarship: The institute offers a tuition fee waiver for meritorious students. The percentage of fee waiver vis-a-vis their performance is mentioned in the table below:
