While the IIMs accept CAT score for MBA/PGP courses (for domestic candidates), for EPGP and related courses having appeared in GMAT is the criteria. However, many other top MBA colleges accept GMAT for MBA/PGDM courses too in both domestic and international students categories.

Conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), GMAT is an expensive test. It costs around INR 23,00 for an Indian student. However, the benefits of appearing for GMAT is that, one can make three attempts and the score validity for admission is five years. Also, GMAT is an adaptive test, which means when a candidate takes the second or consecutive attempt, his/her question paper is prepared (difficulty level) based on the previous performance. Before exploring GMAT accepting colleges, let's take a look at the key aspects of the exam.

Q:   Can I get MDI at 94 percentile?
A:

No, you cannot get into MDI Gurgaon with 94 percentile. The Management Development Institute Gurgaon admission to PGDM in International Business + Master in Management (MIM) is based on CAT score, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round. As per MDI Gurgaon cutoff 2024, the CAT cutoff percentile was 97 for the General All India category students. So, a general category student can not get into MDI Gurgaon with 94 percentile in CAT for PGDM courses.

However, candidates belonging to other categories, including SC, ST, OBC and PWD can get into Management Development Institute Gurgaon with 94 CAT percentile.
