Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISSNET) is one of the most important exams offering admissions to 55 programmes at its five campuses (Mumbai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Chennai & Tulhjapur). Now, the countdown for TISSNET 2020 has begun as it is on January 4, 2020. So we will not take much time of yours. In this article, we will discuss some important tips for scoring effectively in TISSNET 2020.

Management Programmes are offered at TISS Mumbai & Hyderabad campus. An important thing, which you should be aware of, is that TISS offers MA Degree instead of MBA in management programmes. But it can be considered equal to MBA because it offers the same quality education and subjects offered in MBA at various top B-Schools.

If you have prepared and opt for CAT, SNAP, IIFT, NMAT, etc., then TISSNET would be easy for you to some extent. Though the exam is easy as compared to other exams the competition is bit high due to few seats and more candidates appearing in it. So now let’s discuss the exam structure of TISSNET.

Sections

General Knowledge: 40 questions

Maths & Logical Reasoning: 30 questions

English Proficiency: 30 questions

NOTE: Above mentioned questions type and no of questions asked in it are based on the analysis of previous year TISSNET papers.

Overall Strategy

  • Give at least four mocks
  • Solve the past five years’ papers completely.
  • Be perfect in time distribution.
  • Try all the questions. (As there is no negative marking)
  • Even if only a few minutes are left and you are left with some questions and there is not enough time to solve those questions, then try to attempt randomly.
  • It is better to attempt the left questions randomly rather than leaving it because there is some possibility that your random attempt gets correct.

Suggested Time Distribution In Exam:

  • General Knowledge: 20-25 minutes
  • Maths & Logical Reasoning: 60-65 minutes
  • English Proficiency: 50-55 minutes

Important Instructions for TISSNET 2020

  1. Keep admit card handy.
  2. Report at the centre at least 1.5 hours before the exam time.
  3. Carry your identity proof (anyone from below mentioned)
  • Driving license
  • College identity card
  • Voter ID card
  • Pan card
  • Aadhaar card
