SNAP Selection Process 2027 will include SNAP 2026 score, Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI). The SIU institutes will release the shortlist of candidates for the first round of admission in he first week of February 2027.

SNAP Selection Process 2027: Highlights
Given below are the key highlights of SNAP selection process for MBA admission to SIU institutes.
- Candidates havae to select their preferred MBA courses and SIU institutes in the SNAP 2026 application form only
- SNAP 2026 applicants have to pay INR 1,000 per SIU institute in the SNAP registration cum application form
- Each Institute will conduct SNAP admission process 2027 separately for each programme
- The call for participation in GE-PI will be based on SNAP cut offs fixed for 2027 batch
- SIU institutes will fix admission cut offs individually based on their own admission requirements and parameters
- Candidate's academic history will also be taken into consideration for PI shortlisting 2027
- Based on their overall SNAP cut off percentile, a candidate may get shortlisted for more than one programme. In such a scenario, they will have to participate in the selection process for each course separately.

Commonly asked questions
A good attempt of around 80 per cent of questions with 85-90 per cent accuracy is considered good score in SNAP. The SNAP exam has 60 questions only, so the number of attempts considered good are 40-45. Candidates must aim to solve a good number of questions in every section of SNAP, so that their overall score is good and they have a better chance of getting selected for admission. If you do not clear the SNAP cut off may not be eligible for admission to MBA programmers offered by SIU institutes. Meeting the minimum cut off is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). Thus, when preparing for SNAP, keep in mind a target score. The SNAP cut offs are lower for Reserved category candidates.
SNAP Admission Process 2027
SNAP shortlisting process for MBA batch of 2027 will include GE and PI. Candidates shortlisted for the GE-PI will be informed via email.
What is Group Exercise?
Group Exercise or GE is like group discussion in which candidates will be grouped in 8-10 and each batch will be given a case to discuss and come up with solutions. The case will be based on Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, and Operations. Each batch will be given 20 minutes to discuss and present the solution.
What is Personal Interaction?
Personal Interaction or PI round, is a face to face interaction with a panel comprising academics, teachers and industry experts. The questions range from ‘why MBA’ to hobbies to future plans.This round is conducted to check the candidate's communication ability and managerial qualities.

Yes, it is mandatory to fill the SNAP application form for admission to the MBA programmes of the SIU institute. There is a field in the SNAP application form where candidates have to mention their choice of SIU colleges and MBA courses they wish to pursue. They need to pay INR 1000 per college selection. There will be no institute specific application form released later. Candidates will have to use the SNAP application ID to fill the admission shortlist forms of the constituent institutes. If a candidate fails to mention a college in their SNAP application form, they will not be shortlisted for WAT-GE-PI of that SIU institute.

SNAP cut offs are determined by:
- Number of candidates in exam

Candidates are selected on the basis of SNAP cut offs for the MBA admission round which consists of Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). This round is held in February and March after the announcement of SNAP result.
Candidates who clear the GE-PI-WAT round are selected for MBA admission. The parameters for selection also include class 10, 12 and graduation scores, academic profile and work experience. All SIU institutes conduct Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test but individually.
Sectional SNAP cut offs may be evaluated for selection of candidate for Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. Scores of every section will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates along with their academic record. Thus, candidates must ensure that they perform well enough in each section of the SNAP exam.

Commonly asked questions
No other exam score apart from SNAP is accepted by the SIU institutes for MBA admissions. Candidates who wish to pursue MBA from the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University have to appear for the SNAP exam and clear it. The SNAP exam is conducted in the month of December every month.
SNAP score is in fact valid for admission to only the 16 SIU institutes. No other private or government MBA institute accepts SNAP for admissions.

A candidate can appear for upto three tests for both SNAP at SIU Pune. If a candidate appears for more than one test for either SNAP, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation and there will be no normalization.

It is possible but not advisable, as you may not score as desired. It is important to cover the SNAP syllabus too. You can solve questions in mock test correctly only if you understand the topics well.
