MAT cut off percentiles for MBA/PGDM admission are determined individually by the MAT participating colleges. The institutes use MAT cut offs to shortlist candidates for the second round of MBA admission process which is Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The participating institutes announce MAT cut offs for every academic session at the time of admissions. MAT 2023 cut offs accepted for admission are between 65-95 percentile at the top participating colleges.Â

MAT Cut Off 2023 Determining Factors
MAT 2023 cut off percentiles for all the three exam modes - CBT, PBT and IBT are same. There is no variation in MAT cut offs due to the exam mode. It means a candidate having 95 percentile in IBT and a candidate having 95 percentile in IBT both are eligible for admission. Also, if a candidate has attempted the MAT exam more than once, he/she can use the best score of all his/her attempts for admission.Â
MAT cut off percentiles of top MBA colleges accepting the exam score is usually above 90 percentile. While some colleges consider the overall MAT exam score for shortlisting candidates for GD and PI, a few colleges also consider MAT composite score and MAT sectional scores of the candidate.Â
MAT cut off for MBA admission depends on numerous factors. The three main factors are listed below:
- Total number of candidates who cleared the MAT exam
- Range of MAT percentile scored by total number of test takers
- Difficulty level of the MAT question paper
- Total number of seats available in the institute
