Meet AIIMS INI CET 2023 Topper Dr. Anirudh Vutukuri who secured All India Rank (AIR) 2 in July Session by keeping focus on the high-yield topics and frequently asked topics. Dr. Anirudh in a conversation with Shiksha.com shared  his journey, tips, routine and study pattern he followed to be a topper in INI CET 2023 July session exam."I used to practice 50 to 100 MCQs every day which helped me improve my speed and stay in exam mode. I gave a lot of importance to revision and tried to revise frequently asked topics multiple times, I think this helped a lot in improving my rank from 433 in NEET PG 2023 to AIR 2 in INI CET 2023 July Session," he said.

Q. Congratulations on emerging as an INI CET 2023 topper! How are you feeling about your results?
A. It Is the best feeling and I can't really describe how happy I am about the result, it was really unbelievable, as I had expected a top 200 rank but never expected an All India Rank (AIR) 2.
Q. What motivated you to pursue medicine as a career?
A. Being a doctor is one of the noblest professions out there, the job of treating ailments and making lives better is very satisfying and I was also always fascinated by how the human body functions which made me choose medicine as a profession.
Q. Tell us something about your family background.
A. Both my parents are doctors. My father is a surgical gastroenterologist and my mother is a pediatrician. Both of them have a private practice in Guntur Andhra Pradesh. I have a younger sister who is currently pursuing MBBS.
Q. Did you appear for any other PG medical entrance examination?
A. Yes, I appeared for the NEET PG 2023 in which I secured AIR 433.
Q. When preparing for INI CET, what motivated you most?
A. AIIMS NEW DELHI is one of the topmost institutes in the country in terms of education, research and clinical exposure, hence I wanted to pursue my postgraduation from AIIMS and being a former MBBS graduate from AIIMS, New Delhi motivated me further to return to my parent institute.
Q. How did you prepare for INI CET 2023?
A. I had started preparing for May 2023 INI CET from November 2022. I focused more on the high-yield topics/frequently asked topics of INI CET which helped me a lot. I used to practice 50 to 100 MCQs every day which helped me improve my speed and stay in exam mode. I gave a lot of importance to revision and tried to revise frequently asked topics multiple times, I think this helped a lot in improving my rank from 433 in NEET PG 2023 to AIR 2 in INI CET 2023 July Session. I gave a grand test every 10-15 days which helped me get a hang of the real examination as time management is really important for INI CET 2023.
Q. Did you have any specific exam day strategy?
A. I had tried to aggressively attempt the paper, in questions in which I was able to eliminate 2 options I attempted it by making an educated guess even though there was a negative marking. I had a sound sleep for 8hrs before the exam which helped me in keeping my mind fresh/alert during the exam and find out twists in the questions.
Q. Any message or advice for future medical aspirants?
A. Focusing on high-yield topics gives you an edge be it NEET PG or INI CET. Always believe in yourself, trust your hard work it is you who is limiting yourself.

For AIIMS B.Sc Nursing, its safer to follow the old NCERT. As some exams still ask questions from the deleted portions, please cover the deleted chapters too.
