NEET MDS Mock Test 2026: The official mock test for the NEET MDS 2026 exam will be released around 10 days before the exam. The NBEMS will activate the NEET MDS demo test link to make candidates familiar with the exam pattern. The NEET SS demo or mock test is released for practice purpose only. The questions in the test will be representative, and not as per the NEET MDS syllabus 2026.

Candidates should use the NEET MDS 2026 mock test only to get accustomed to the online mode of exam, navigation system and time-bound sections. The NEET MDS exam has mandatory time-bound sections, wherein candidates need to spend a given duration in one section. They will not have the flexibility to move to and fro between sections.

Candidates should not consider solving the MDS demo test as a test of their preparations. To check the preparation level, candidates should practice the NEET MDS previous year question papers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on NEET MDS Mock Test 2026

Read the frequently asked questions (FAQs) on NEET MDS mock test here.

Q:   Does solving the previous year NEET MDS question papers prove helpful?
A:

Yes, solving previous years NEET MDS question papers plays a vital role and has been proven beneficial as well. Solving previous years question papers helps the candidate to analyse themselves thoroughly and gives a clear picture of their exam preparations. Candidates get a proper insight into their current situation and help them strategise and plan their preparations accordingly. However, NBE or the exam conducting body does not release the NEET MDS question papers. Hence, students can either rely on their mentors or professors, or previous year candidates' memory based questions.

Q:   Can I go through all questions from both sections in the NEET MDS mock test or demo test?
A:

No, test takers can not get the list of all questions of Part A and Part B at a single page in the NEET MDS demo test or mock test. In order to check the questions, they have to click on the question numbers or by clicking on Save & Next tab at the bottom right side of the page.

Q:   Which body/authority releases the NEET MDS mock test?
A:

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) releases the official NEET MDS mock test or demo test. It enables candidates to be familiar with the exam structure and navigation. Apart from NBEMS, various coaching institutes also offer NEET MDS mock tests, where candidates will find the question types to be similar to the actual test, but the CBT interface and navigation may be different.

Q:   Will I get marks after attempting the NEET MDS mock test?
A:

After taking the NEET MDS official mock test, NBEMS does not give the result or the marks obtained. The NEET MDS demo test is purely for practice purpose and not to check the preparation level.

Q:   Does NBE release previous years NEET MDS question papers?
A:

No, NBE or NBEMS does not release previous years' NEET MDS question papers. Since NBEMS follows a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), test-takers are also prohibited to release or discuss about the NEET MDS questions. But for practice purpose, students rely on the top medical coaching institutes which are run by faculty members of top colleges or alumni members, who have a thorough idea about the exam pattern and question types of NEET MDS.

Q:   What is NEET MDS exam timing?
A:

Q:   Will there be negative marking in NEET MDS?
A:

Yes, the pattern of NEET MDS clearly states that penalty marks will be deducted for incorrect answers. Each correct answer will fetch four marks and for each wrong answer, there will be negative marking of one mark. Hence, the negative marking applied in the NEET MDS exam is 25 per cent. No marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions.

Q:   What does mark for review mean in NEET MDS exam?
A:

Being a computer-based exam, candidates are given the option to mark one or more answer options for review. According to NBE, candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. However, candidates must submit the answer as without that, the question will be considered unattempted.
