What is EMAT?
Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) is conducted by IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K) and is a gateway for admission to two year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) at Kochi campus. EPGP is a two-year postgraduate programme for working executives. The exam has been introduced with the objective of filtering the candidates for the EPGP programme offered at IIM-K. This ensures that only quality candidates are selected for the programme, which helps maintain the standard of the institute. Candidates can now apply in online mode.

Candidates must fill the EMAT 2025 application form and must submit the same before the deadline. The application form should be filled online by visiting the official website- iimk.ac.in. Candidates are required to pay INR 2000 as a non-refundable application fee. Candidates could choose any of the following modes of payment:

Candidates must note that any other mode of payment will not be accepted. Also, the registration automatically expires if the application form is not completed within 7 days from the date of registration.
EMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university
- Candidate belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ EWS/Women/SC/ST/PwD categories should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in their graduation
- The candidate must hold three years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience after graduation (as on the commencement date of the programme)
- In case of the absence of recognised bachelor's degree, candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% in CA/ICWA/CS
- Candidates having obtained a degree from a foreign university can also apply provided the candidate is producing the equivalency certificate from the Association of Indian Universities or any Government of India-approved assessment agency or an Indian University approved by UGC along with the proof of aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the programme completed.
Please note: These scores should not be older than two years from EMAT exam date.

EMAT 2026 application form link has been activated at the iimk.ac.in. on official website. Aspirants must visit the official website- iimk.ac.in to register for EMAT 2026 and submit the application form before the deadline. The EMAT 2026 application process includes filling of personal details, experience, uploading of relevant academic documents and payment of fees, without which the application will not be submitted. There will be several sections in EMAT 2026 application form- personal details, academic details, work experience, programmes, exam centre preference and fee payment.
In personal details section, the candidates will have to enter details such as name, date of birth, father's name, category, gender, nationality, communication address, email ID, mobile phone number, etc.
In academic details section of the form, candidates must enter class 10th and 12th exam scores, Bachelor's degree details and marksheet and details of other postgraduate programme/professional courses (if any).

As per the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) marking scheme for every correct answer candidate will get one mark and for no marks will be deducted for any wrong answers like other management entrance tests- CAT. No, EMAT exam does not have sectional time limit to appear for the exam. However, students will be required to complete the exam in pre informed exam duration i.e, two hours and no extra time will be granted to the students under any circumstances. EMAT is a computer-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section only when the candidate clicks the next button. Candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section as there will be negative markings. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in EMAT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use the exam duration as per their strength and weakness.
