Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has taken a significant step in enhancing its global presence by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Kristiania University College in Norway and Soochow University in China. These collaborations elevate IIM Indore's network to 60 partner institutions across 24 countries, underlining the institute's commitment to robust academic partnerships that foster enriched learning and research opportunities.
Signing Ceremony Highlights
The first MoU was signed by Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore, and Dr. Kristi Bache, Pro-rector of Research and Artistic Development at Kristiania University College. The second MoU was formalized between Professor Rai and Professor Bo Feng, Dean of the Business School at Soochow University. Expressing his enthusiasm for these collaborations, Professor Rai emphasized the alignment of visions and goals with both institutions.
Collaboration with Soochow University
In his remarks regarding the MoU with Soochow University, Professor Rai stated, “Our vision aligns closely with that of Soochow University, which is to foster innovative and responsible business leaders while integrating the concept of sustainable development into our business knowledge.” The partnership aims to cultivate globally aware leaders and strengthen ties with this esteemed institution.
Soochow University, established in 1900, shares IIM Indore’s commitment to academic excellence. Its Business School in Suzhou City serves over 3,500 students and offers a range of programs in Applied Economics and Business Administration, recognized as essential disciplines in Jiangsu Province. Professor Bo Feng emphasized that their core values of authenticity, accountability, appreciation, and advancement resonate with IIM Indore’s vision, stating, “Our collaboration will enhance the educational journeys of our students and faculty.”
Academic Exchange with Kristiania University College
The MoU with Kristiania University College focuses on promoting academic exchanges and collaborative research. It aims to facilitate faculty and student exchanges, along with joint research opportunities in areas of mutual interest. Kristiania University College, one of Norway's oldest private institutions, established in 1914, has over 16,000 students and offers programs in marketing, management, creativity, and health.
Professor Rai noted, “IIM Indore’s mission to bridge academia and real-world application resonates strongly with the values held by Kristiania University College.” He expressed eagerness to learn from their experiences in sustainable development and innovative practices, emphasizing that these collaborations will enhance academic experiences through knowledge sharing, exhibitions, lectures, and potential dual degree opportunities.

Dr. Kristi Bache from Kristiania University College shared her excitement about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration opens exciting possibilities for both institutions.
