
Reflecting IIM Kashipur’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, 33% of the graduating students were women, with the MBA (Analytics) program standing out at 70% female representation—a significant milestone in advancing women in data-driven leadership.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur held its 12th Convocation Ceremony, marking a historic moment with its largest-ever graduating class. This year, 598 students received degrees—a 36.5% increase in batch size over the previous year—across five premier programs:
- MBA: 319 students
- MBA (Analytics): 161 students
- Executive MBA (E-MBA): 34 students
- Executive MBA in Analytics (EMBAA): 72 students
- Doctoral (Ph.D.): 12 students
The convocation was graced by Shri Alok Agarwal, Senior Advisor at Reliance Industries, who delivered an inspiring convocation address. Reflecting on his own journey and technological transformation over the years, Shri Agarwal said:
“In just one generation, we’ve moved from punch cards to AI, from telex machines to satellites. The pace of innovation is both humbling and empowering.”
He encouraged graduates to see their IIM education not only as a tool for personal success but as a means to build a more inclusive and equitable society:
“As part of the most privileged 0.01%, true success lies in the impact you create—not just in your career, but in society.”
Promoting Gender Diversity and Academic Excellence

To honor academic excellence:
- 10 medals were awarded (5 Gold, 4 Silver, 1 Bronze)
- 24 students received Director’s Merit List certificates for outstanding academic achievement.
Professor Somnath Chakrabarti, Director (I/C) and Dean of Academics, emphasized IIM Kashipur’s unique educational philosophy:
“Management education must remain connected to the world it aims to lead. Our curriculum reflects global shifts—from AI to sustainability—while reinforcing ethical and empathetic leadership.”
‘Bharat Meets B-School’: Experiential Learning in Rural India
A hallmark of IIM Kashipur’s approach is its Experiential Learning (EL) Program, which immerses students in grassroots consulting projects with over 90 rural and semi-urban organizations across Uttarakhand. These real-world projects focus on:

- Rural development
This initiative underscores the institute’s mission to transform management knowledge into meaningful social impact.
Infusing Indian Ethos Through the Indian Knowledge System (IKS)
Highlighting the value of cultural and traditional wisdom, Prof. Chakrabarti said:
“The Indian Knowledge System encompasses philosophy, Ayurveda, astronomy, and more. We integrate these teachings to build responsible, ethical leaders.”
IIM Kashipur offers a hands-on leadership experience where students manage key academic and cultural functions on campus, preparing them for real-world organizational roles.
Embracing a multidisciplinary and industry-aligned curriculum, the institute offers executive certifications in:
