Will NEET SS 2021 postponed due to rising COVID-19 cases in India?

NEET SS 2021 is scheduled to be held on January 10 in online mode. The test paper will comprise 100 MCQ question and candidates will be given 3.5 hours to answer them.

NBE has not released any official notification regarding NEET SS 2021 admit card on its official website. The admit card was supposed to be released on January 3. This has led to the speculation that the exam could be postponed. Another fact which is giving strength to this hypothesis is the rising corona cases in different parts of the country. As of now, NEET SS 2021 is scheduled to be held on January 10. In case of any deferment of exam date, NBE will announce on its official website, nbe.edu.in.

NEET SS 2022 Admit Card Delay

There is a confusion over the release of the admit card for NEET SS 2021. NBE releases official notification on its official website, informing candidates that the hall ticket has been uploaded for download. As the exam is scheduled in four days, there is a sense of confusion among candidates. On January 3, NBE had provided candidate a final opportunity for submission of choices to appear in NEET SS 2021. There were 280 such candidates who had not submitted choices for NEET SS 2021. The exam conducting body had provided them a deadline till January 4 to submit maximum two choices for the exam.

β€œChoices submitted through any other mode or at any other email ID or from a non-registered email ID of candidate or after the prescribed cut-off date & time shall NOT be entertained. Such candidates and candidates who would fail to submit their choices by the aforesaid cutoff date and time shall be declared INELIGIBLE and Admit Card shall not be issued to them for NEET-SS 2021,” the notification had said.

COVID-19 May Defer NEET SS 2021

As the country is once again hit by Corona, government could take decision to defer the exam. With high infection rate, the new variant of corona, Omicron has wreaked havoc. Omicron cases are increasing day by day and states like Kerala, Maharashtra, and Delhi are worst affected. Various states governments have decided to impose partial lockdown and undertaken other safety measures amid rising cases of Omicron.
