IB_ACIO_Exam_Day_Guidelines

Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct IB ACIO exam on February 18, 19 and 20, 2021. IB ACIO 2020-21 admit card has been released. The examination authority has informed the candidates regarding their shift timings. Along with the admit card, MHA has also released IB ACIO exam day guidelines which candidates need to follow at the exam centre. Candidates not following the exam day guidelines will be debarred from appearing in the exam. In this article, we have provided IB ACIO 2020-21 exam day guidelines prescribed by MHA.

Given below are the exam day guidelines for IB ACIO exam.

Things to be brought to IB ACIO exam centre

The following items are allowed inside the exam centre.

  • Printed copy of IB ACIO admit card
  • Face Mask and Hand Glove
  • Personal hand sanitizer
  • Original Photo ID proof
  • PET water bottle (transparent)
  • Two passport photographs

Exam shift timings

IB ACIO Tier-I exam will be conducted in three shifts. Candidates have been informed regarding their shift timings. The exam timings are given below.

Shifts Exam Time

Shift 1

09:00 AM to 10.00 AM

Shift 2

12:00 PM to 1.00 PM

Shift 3

03:00 PM to 4.00 PM

Admit Card & Photo-Identity Proof

  • IB ACIO admit card can be accessed online from the official website by logging with user ID and password
  • Candidates are required to print all three pages of IB ACIO admit card
  • The printed copy of IB ACIO admit card are required to be produced at the time of verification along with at least one original photo-identity proof
  • Candidates can carry any one of the following identify proofs.
  1. Voter Identification Card
  2. Driving License
  3. PAN Card
  4. Passport or Aadhaar Card
  5. Identity Card issued byUniversity/College
  • In case the scanned photograph is not clear in the IB ACIO admit card, candidates must bring two recent colour passport size photographs
  • Candidates are required to paste a passport size photograph, identical to the one uploaded, in the space provided in the admit card

Test Centre

  • Request for change in the IB ACIO exam centre is not allowed
  • Candidates are advised to locate the test centre at least a day before the exam
  • Candidate are required to report at exam centre as per their reporting time
  • Thermal scanning, barcode scanning, biometrics and photography of candidates will be done prior to the allotment of computer node for appearing in exam
  • Entry gates will be closed half an hour before the commencement of the exam
  • Late entry will not be allowed under any circumstances

Exam hall guidelines

Once the exam is over, candidates must appear for Biometrics/Photograph and deposit their admit cards before leaving the computer lab

Once capturing of biometrics/photograph is done at the registration desk of exam centre, candidates should proceed to the allocated computer node and should not leave the exam hall till the test is over

User ID and password for the exam will be provided to candidates 10 minutes before commencement of test at their respective computer terminal by the invigilators

A paragraph will appear on candidate’s computer screen immediately before starting the exam. This paragraph contains some sentences/words, numericals and jumbled words. Candidates need to write the para in the space provided on their admit cards

Sheet for doing rough work will be provided at the exam hall. Candidates need to deposit the rough sheet after the exam is over

Candidates are allowed to bring atleast two transparent blue/black ballpoint pens

Guidelines for COVID-19 pandemic

  • Candidates must maintain social distancing
  • Candidates will be made to sit at alternative computer nodes
  • In case candidate is having COVID-19 symptom, they will be allowed to appear in the exam in a separate Isolation lab/hall
  • Candidates must bring face mask, hand gloves, personal hand sanitizer (50ml), transparent blue/black ball point pen, PET water Bottle (transparent) and the exam related
  • No other items will be permitted inside exam hall/lab
  • Temperature of candidates will be checked at the entry
  • Candidate’s roll number and the lab number' will not be displayed outside the exam venue, but the same will be provided to the candidates individually at the time of entry to the exam venue
  • At registration desk, candidates will be directed to sanitize their hands using sanitizer after which photograph will be captured during the registration process

Instructions for CBT

  • The duration of the exam is one hour. For each correct answer, candidates score one mark. For wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted. No marks will be awarded for questions not attempted or answered but marked for review
  • The clock will be set at the server. When the timer reaches zero, the test will end by itself. Candidates are not required to end or submit their test
  • The question palette is displayed on the right side of screen
  • Click on the question number in the question palette to go to the question directly
  • Click on ‘Save & Next’ to save the answers for the current question
  • Click on ‘Mark for Review & Next’ to save the answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question
  • To deselect the chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the ‘Clear Response button’
  • To change the chosen answer, click on the button of another option
  • To save the answer, click on the ‘Save & Next’ button
  • To mark the question for review, click on the ‘Mark for Review & Next’ button.
